Yup, me, the local 360 defender and other console crusher. I've caught myself lately saying things out of line about the PS3 and, seeing as I've never even touched one of the things outside of Wal-Mart demos, I figured I'd publicly apologize. But that's not really what this topic is about. I'm planning to trade soon and I was wondering about some good games to pick up at first. I've got a list below of some I already have my eye on.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Killzone 2
Modern Warfare 2 (not an exclusive but an obvious pick)
Resistance 2
LittleBigPlanet (yes!)
WarHawk
inFAMOUS
Valkyria Chronicles

Anyone got anymore? Or want to fill me in on one in this list? I'd like to know more about this.

get the first Resistance game. Also Ratchet and Clank Future Tools of Destruction. Heavenly Sword is good to but try and find a cheap copy if you can. So anyways whats making you want a ps3? The price drop?

This. This without a doubt. I can't tell you how many times I've boughten games that I HAD to play (I don't have a rental store near me) that turned out complete SHIT. Gamefly is a good deal.

Actually, I played a bit of infamous and thought it was awesome, and I also stumbled upon gameplay of Killzone 2 on YouTube. The price drop happened the next day

Besides, Microsoft is starting to suck again. The new avatar marketplace only shows that they want more money; and the games are getting boring as well.

You didn't mention Metal Gear Solid 4, Motorstorm PR, perhaps Wipeout on the PS Store. I'd definately get Little Big Planet and Ratchet and Clank. If you like party games get Buzz! (made 20 minutes away from where I live I'd say between COD and Killzone you don't really need either Resistance 1 or 2 anymore. Resistance 1 was decent at the time, but not really now. I also don't think Heavenly Sword is that great.

My personal must gets: LBP, MGS4, Uncharted, KZ2, Ratchet and Clank.

Also consider: Motorstorm 2, Wipeout HD, Infamous, Valkryia Chronicles, Buzz! Quiz TV

Don't worry too much about: Resistance, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Folklore

Avoid: Lair, Genji, Haze

1) In regards to this, Killzone 2's controls have long since changed (for the worse, imo). So when you play the demo, you'll notice sluggishness and deadzone gaps. IMHO, the controls were fine the way they were before they patched the controls (twice), because it was based on realism (giving the weapons weight, etc). Now they changed the controls to be more twitchy/responsive (yes, you can argue that's better, but w/e. i liked them how they were).

Resistance: Fall of Man (You don't really NEED this, but for the price it's worth picking up a copy)
Resistance 2 (The online is fucking awesome, 30vs30, the boss battles are also cool)
Killzone 2 (Best. Graphics. Ever. And the online is really addictive, the storymode is also fun)
inFamous (... inFamous... inFamous... inFamous. Yeah...)
Warhawk (To say it's 2 years old, it's still played by a nice amount of people, so you'll always find a full game)
LittleBigPlanet (One of the best games ever made ? YES. I don't care what anyone says, you NEED it.)
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune (This has one of the best storylines of any game I've ever played, along with inFamous, it's just epic)
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (We all know MGS = PWN. And this will NOT disappoint, although like 2/3 of the game is cutscenes, they're GOOD)
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (What can I say... Ratchet and Clank pwns)
Ratchet and Clan Future: Quest for Booty (Only a 4/5 hour game, but it's still fun as fuck)
Motorstorm (You can choose either of these, although I prefer the second)
Motorstorm: Pacific Rift (You can choose either of these, although I prefer the second)
Wipeout HD (It's 2 years old and the graphics will amaze you, it's high speed fun !)
Valkyria Chronicls (The art style is beautiful, it's like Advance Wars in gameplay style, but better !, and the storyline is great, I'd also recommend buying the additional missions after)

Spoiler: Here's a list of exclusive games you MUST buy in the future;

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (Well... have you SEEN the trailers/gameplay vids ? It's going to be epic beyond epic)
Heavy Rain (Remember Farenheit ? Same devs, better storyline, better graphics, win.)
M.A.G (From Zipper Inc. the guys who made the first 3 Socoms, 128vs128 online multiplayer, sounds fun, eh ?)
White Knight Chronicles (Over 100 hours of story gameplay, along with sidequests and exploration, AND 4 player online too!)
God of War III*** (Do I really need to say anything else ? Watch the vid below...)
Final Fantasy vs XIII (We've still got this exclusive, apparently it's their most violent and gory RPG ever o.O)

I'd add Dead Space and GTA IV to your list. Don't get Warhawk, for the love of god, though. Warhawk sucks fuck! I played it a couple of times and all I saw in it was a mediocre, sorry excuse for an online game. Graphics weren't event hat good. Also, do you really need to sell your 360 to get a PS3? You might regret it one day, not saying I like 360 over my PS3, though. I'm just saying that a 360 exclusive might come out or something. Or maybe you'll end up not liking PS3 as much, even though it's amazing.

Just because you don't like Warhawk, doesn't mean it DOES suck... try telling its userbase that it sucks and they'll just laugh at your face to be honest... the graphics weren't meant to be amazing, or realistic, but exaggerated, otherwise the maps would lag due to the size of them... I'd really recommend picking it up myself, since it's a really great exclusive, and right now, it's really cheap, you can get it for £25 ($37ish) with the official PS3 Mic bundled up.

And I didn't add Dead Space or GTAIV, because notice I said "exclusives" ?

I actually meant Spooky's list lol. I guess a lot of people do like Warhawk though. I played it a little bit and I just thought the online gameplay was boring so I didn't play it anymore. I have heard good things about it, don't get me wrong.

Lol yeah, I think it's a great game, one of my faves for online, but some of my mates think it's boring, although I think the game gets more fun when you either all have mics, or when you invite your mates around for a splitscreen on a 16v16 match (Although alot of servers don't allow splitscreen... lol)

And what games have I mentioned that you didn't know existed but looked awesome ? There's more to add, but I can't remember the names of 'em, lol.

Valkyria Chronicles and The Agency. Actually, I heard of VC because I DL'd the theme from the PS Store, but never really cared for what it was or what 'twas about. Then I did a little search for some vids of it on Youtube and it looked kind of cool. The Agency looked fucking awesome!

Lol Valkyria Chronicles is one of the best games you'll ever play on the PS3, and everyone that I know has played it, will tell you the same thing, lol.

And yeah, I'm gonna be picking up both The Agency and DC Universe Online, it's about time Sony release new MMO's lol

I found the PS3 bundle I'm gonna buy!

One of my Dad's buddies has an 80G PS3 with peripherals and a ton of games; all for $200! I don't know what games exactly, but more than likely I'll be able to trade later for some that I like better if I have too. Expect me on PSN soon guys and gals!
