I'm going to go about this first post a bit differently this time. Perhaps a question and answer format will prove more interesting, since judging from the first few pages of posts last time around, nobody actually read my summary of what exactly this initative is. Be warned that questions asked in this thread which are clearly answered in this first post will be regarded as spam and reacted to as such. Now then, let's begin.
What is Project of the Month?
The Project of the Month is designed to spotlight a promising game each month. The chosen thread will be stickied for a month with a [PotM] tag, allowing some extra exposure and hopefully more useful feedback from the community.
Who picks the Project of the Month?
The winner of the previous month will pick the next one. We had no selected projects in October as this began, so I picked Rye's project Memento Vivere. Rye in turn picked Nocturne's project Anthropian Enigma. Nocturne picked Legend of Aetheria and the cycle continues.
What kind of projects get chosen? Do they need to have a demo?
The idea is to show off some projects that might not otherwise get as much attention. With that in mind, the more well-known games of RMXP.org (e.g. Nadir's Canon, Master of the Wind, Outlaw City) would not be considered suitable candidates for this.
As for the demo question, ideally the projects spotlighted would have a demo for people to play because we would like to encourage productivity. However, I do realize that there may be times when a suitable demo can't be found. In that case, a thread with a lot of really interesting explanation/screenshots can be selected.
Will people pick their own projects as PotM or do something else totally callous that would completely negate the entire idea of this whole thing?
Given that the people making the choices have already had their game as Project of the Month, that would be basically impossible. However, if there's a time when a member declines the chance to pick a new one and the choice is given to someone else, I suppose there may be that risk. Obviously, as the manager of this thing, I would not allow that. This was something I thought didn't need to be clarified, but I learned last time that I was wrong. ':|
Why did reviving this take so long?!
Hey, take it easy. Not only did the hack eliminate the original thread for this, it took a lot of projects with it! If I tried to revive it immediately after, we would have found ourselves with quite a dearth of projects to choose from. I decided to wait until the new year in order to allow creators to bring some games back in here. As you can see now, we're quite active.

Judge's Comments:
Why did I nominate it? Because it is a game that is not only fun, but is has the look of a store bought game. In my opinion it really deserves to have more the a few pages of comments, and really deserves to be played.
