Project Bind: Sanity
Story:
Two years ago an insane ex-Military General was defeated in his attempt to take control of Liori Saine (Perfect Nation) by a man named Eden Cross. Cross killed the General and his own wife, who had had an affair with the General for years before. She also volunteered to be a guinea pig in the General’s secret experiments, which he called Project Bind. The General was trying to fuse souls of opposing beings, Demis and Humans. Although most people were destroyed in the experiments, ten came through perfectly, including Cross’s wife. But she was never the same again. She killed her own daughter, and tried to kill her son, but failed, and died, by the hand of Cross.
Now, two years after the Project was destroyed, Cross lives in peace with his son, Damien Cross, in the small city of Eridian Sael (Freedom City). Damien, now 19 years old, practically lives on the street, for he is rarely home. The mere sight of his father reminds him of the death of his sister, who was his only real family for six years. So Damien hangs out in the slums with his friends most of the time, and sneaks around Upper Eridian in search of food the rest of the time.
One day, Damien goes home to check up on Eden, but he is gone. Damien finds a letter addressed to him saying that Eden left to see an old friend in the Capitol City of Rael no Genka (Gate to Unity), usually just called Genka. Damien thinks nothing of it, and decides to stay in the house a few days.
Three days pass (these shall be used as Tutorial Days for the Player, much like in KH2) with no word from Eden. Damien goes to get food from Upper Eridian, but is captured by a Guard who claims to have seen Damien stealing from a vendor. Damien is innocent this time, but the Guard manages to plant evidence in Damien’s pocket, and other Guards take him into arrest.
Damien is taken to the Eridian Cells, the prison in Lower Eridian, the part of the city in-between Upper Eridian and the Slums. There, Damien sees several other prisoners he knows would never commit crimes. Apparently, they were all framed, just like Damien. After a day in prison, Damien and the others are taken to individual rooms where they are hooked up to strange beds surrounded by Arcane Channels (commonly referred to as Runes). After a blinding flash, Damien finds himself in an alley, with no clue how he got there. The last thing he remembers is the flash of light. Soon he learns that he has changed, and that he is no longer human…
This is the start of Damien’s adventure. The beginning of his Quest to learn the truth about Project Bind, and what has happened to him...

Damien quickly learns that he is no longer human, and that he barely escaped from the building known as Laboratory S, and that he killed several people in the process of escaping.

Age: 21 Gender: Female
Race: Human-Demi Mix (Human Mother, Demi Father)
Zoë, an outcast among both Humans and Demis, is trying to find her place in society. Her mother died when she was born, leaving Zoë with her father, a Demi with little compassion for his daughter. So when she was 14, Zoë ran away from her home on Vard ‘Erosa and found a place in a small fishing village along the coast of Pheria Saine (Civil Nation). Months passed, and soon people realized that she was half Demi, and banished her from the town.
Zoë is quiet and strong willed. She will do whatever it takes to make people accept her. Currently she lives in a forest south of Eridian, trying to find peaceful people.
Terms and Explanations:
Before I begin with this section, I feel the need to explain a few things about the world and story. You might have noticed that all of the cities mentioned (and all of those not mentioned) are in a different language. This is a modern translation of the Archaic Alnarian language which was, in the Ael Oni (Birth or First Era), the most common spoken language, and the first written. Over time it became a regionalized language, but it is still used today in important names.
I would also like to mention that this is technically a sequel. The first game, Project Bind: Cursed Eternal, was a project that I put on hold several times. I never could finish it, so I plan to make the sequel first, and then make Cursed Eternal later.
Alright then, now for terms:
Demi (Angel) – a human-like being with great white wings that spends its life on Vard ‘Erosa (Sky Island), an enchanted island that floats in the clouds.
Vard ‘Erosa (vard air-ose-uh) – a strange island bound to the soul of the Demi Suin (Angel King) (dem-ee sween), allowing it to stay hidden in clouds that always surround the island.
Bindophites – the ten beings that were created in the first Project Bind attempt.
Liori Saine (lee-or-ee sane) – Liori Saine is known as the Untouched Land, a continent that industrialized civilization has not breached. Although many attempts have been made to secure the continent, all have failed due to an ancient race of creatures that called themselves the Ankomori (Nature Children).
Ankomori – The Nature Children come in many forms, most of which are animals of abnormal size, shape, and color. Some Ankomori are humanoids, and all of them are intelligent enough to speak both Archaic Alnarian and the modern common language (English, with no other name in the game). Ankomori are connected to nature and all of its powers, and so they are formidable foes in combat. Ankomori hate human emotions/flaws, especially Greed, Lust, and most of all, Passion. Most Ankomori are emotionless themselves, although several young Ankomori have shown signs of simple emotions.
Rael no Genka – This city is the capitol of Pheria Saine. The Pherial King lives in the Tower of Haven, in the center of the city. Genka is a Venice-style city (lots of water, bridges, boat travel/taxis)
Pherial King – the Monarch of Pheria Saine. The first of the line of Kings was Decamenuhman (dec-uh-men-oo-mon), who was chosen by the Celestial Lovers, Ertyl (Luna) and Lytre (Sol), to guide the Pherial Saine to glory and honor. Now, several generations down the line, the King is Heptadicon (hep-tuh-die-kin), a corrupt man who wields his power to get whatever he wants. Because of this, the Pherial Council took control of the government, letting the King be an Icon.
Pherial Council – a group of high-ranking government officials that deal with all political and economical affairs. The Council consists of General Kolov (Military), Medic Sarinj (Health Care), Merchant Bartr (Economy), and the King’s advisors.
Eridian Cells – the prison in Eridian. This is the location of the mysterious Laboratory S.
Slums – the poorest part of Eridian. This part of the city is in the Slum Caverns at the edge of Lower Eridian.
Arcane Channels – small flat stones with symbols on the top. There are Square, Circle, Triangle, and Octagonal Arcane Channels. These are commonly referred to as Runes. Runes are used to channel energy from nature into concentrated power. This power can then be used as energy for machines, a weapon, etc. To make new effects possible, Runes can be lined up in specific orders to channel multiple energies together.
Runes – see Arcane Channels. Also, The shape of a Rune affects its Energy Type, while the symbol on the Rune affects its Power and what it can channel to. Square Runes channel Stone Energy, Circle Runes channel Water Energy, Triangle Runes channel Plant Energy, and Octagonal Runes channel Wind Energy. There are several Symbols, so I won’t post any of them just yet.
