Program used to record game trailers?

Usually don't bother with making game trailers, but this time, I want to make a trailer before I release my project.

Is there a good, free, working program out there that is great at recording RPG Maker XP games?
I've tried Fraps(Not made for recording RPG Maker), Camtasia(Weird lags), and Hypercam(Bad quality).

I just need one that can record RPG Maker Games smoothly.

Edit: Just tried Hypercam 2, seems to work well

I'm not sure how well this works since I haven't used the program in a while but try CamStudio.

Hmmm.. Hypercam seems to disable me from recording my game because it states that Hypercam doesn't have enough frames to record.

Tried. Epic-Failed. I found a lot of record programs, but none of them seemed to fit my taste(display the character's motion).

This is why I'm asking for help!

Hm... well, for editing purposes, use a very advanced program (very pricey, about $200-500) named UltraStudio or something like that and I have no idea what to record it with.

To record? No. To edit? Never, I'm using the pricey thing from a torrent.

To record your game you need a Screen Recorder (records what’s happening on your monitor (e.g. desktop). Then you can use a movie maker to edit it and add this and that.
