Problem with RPGM XP

To most of you, I might sound like a complete fool... but I've never used RPGM before.

Question:  Is RPGM XP compatible with Windows Vista?  Or is that was RPGM VX is for...?

*sigh of relief* Thank you so much.

Also... I hope I don't get banned for saying this...

I think my RP XP is pirated (I downloaded it somewhere for free... so yeah XD), and when I go to start the program is says this:

"Failed to obtain a trial serial number from the nTitles server."

x: Is there a way to fix that?

It sounds like a trial copy, which is totally legit. :D (You know for sure it's OK if the icon is yellow.  A purple icon means it is the pirated version.) Your copy of RMXP can't connect to the internet for some reason. Try checking your firewall/virus scanners/etc to see if they're blocking it. Once you do get that working, RMXP will only work for a limited time, then you'll need to buy the license for $60.

Well actually, DynaEMU's version still had the orange icon, though you'd have to dig a lot to find it these days. None of the pirated versions should give you that message though, so it's likely a trial. There are several (well, at least one) topics here discussing that problem already with a few possible solutions posted - just search or something :)
