Problem with [ESC]

Hey, I have a little (actually it's quite bad...) problem and wanted to ask, whether one of you has the same problem and how it can be solved, OR if the problem isn't caused by the RPG Maker but by my Laptop keyboard.

When I press [ESC] in game (RPG Maker VX, no trial, legally purchased from enterbrain), it sometimes works (opens the menu) but sometimes it just doesn't work. It's not only to call the menu, but also when you are in the menu or chose an item during a fight. Whenever I press [ESC] in game, there is a 70% chance, that it doesnt have any effect.
The only Script I use is Tankentai's Battle System.

can someone tell me something about that?

Could it be, perhaps, that your keyboard is malfunctioning? Try another application that requires use of the Esc key.

It works with everything but RMVX games :/
I tested, that games I created work on other pcs just well, with esc... and games from other people have the same esc problem on my pc. in every other program, my esc button works just fine. its strange...
