Prey

Yea, well I don't see a topic about it...

Anyways, I'm getting Prey on Monday I believe, and i think it looks amazing.

I was just wondering if anyone has played it so I can get a small review on it?
Is it good or bad? or just another FPS?

It looked good, but I wasnt feeling it. They hopefully ease into the subtleties of control in the actual game. It was a bit much for me, though, without a plusin controller.

I played the demo and I was impressed. They took the Doom3 Engine and added some interesting features to make puzzles and challenges, other than dark annoying mazes, possible.

My reaction to prey?

"Omg, they finally made something good with the doom engine!"

Those portals are a trip, and honestly some parts must have been a bitch to program.

The connection between him and the game? The requisite for enjoyment? If you're not connecting with the game the only reaosn to continue playing it is if you're a debugger or reviewer or something cus it wont be fun.

a "connection" between anyone and anything is too vague to even know what the hell that is supposed to mean. I don't feel connected to Mario or Duckhunt as I said but I still enjoy them.

It's a good game but 'tis Very short.
I beat it in the first few hours.
If you want to see the ending because you dont want to play it just search kylelapensee prey on youtube.
I really enjoyed this game but it ended way to soon, and with a development period of like 10 years, I dont thin we'll be getting a sequel.....ever....

Yea, I've had mixed reviews... I've seen it on gamespot and gametrailers... I hear its a rip-off of Quake 4 and Doom 3 with some extras and the whole upside-down thing. I don't really care what they say, it looks awesome and I want it.

I am also getting AOE3 XD! I loved the demo...

It was ok....not worth buying though. The story just seemed to drag on and on...and they just kept adding stuff, kinda annoying. Also the portals and gravity were awesome, I will say that, but the coolest parts of the game that use it are the parts of the game in the demo. It's like they wanted to show off what the game could do, but didn't have many new ideas later that would keep one-uping the beginning.

Can I just ask what is vertigo?

And I've played the demo and it was really good. I love the gravity changer devices. Oh and are there an other consoles with this on?

I bought the PC version yesterday and I have to say, that's one of few FPS I really enjoy playing. I like how they did it with the portals and the gravity. Pretty nice so far. The only thing I find annoying are the ghosts of the little children.

Unlike other first person shooters, this one has a really unique atmosphere that merges alien technology with stolen human technology. You'll see planes floating around within the space ship, individual house sized planets with their own gravitational forces, and some cool weapon designs that focuses on secondary modes of fire instead of piling you with AN ENTIRE ARMORY OF ROCKET LAUNCHERS (which is the 1 thing I hate about FPS games; there's 30 guns but you only use like... 3 of them).

I recommend it but I'm a fan of first person games and science fiction so I'm pretty biased.
