[PPP]Panda's Contest Workshop ^_^

Alrighty, got a few things for the contest and I'm spriting quite a bit lately so expect more soon

None yet, comment on the finished ones so I can tweak em and get em in here!!!! :thumb:

Comments and Critiques Please? :)

I love them! I personally love smaller templates rather than the larger ones. I think you did a great job, but unfortunately the imagezoom isn't working for me so I can't see the detail to critique other than what I can see. Until then all I can say is good job from the looks of it.

I'm not sure about this, but er... Why did you use diagonal frames for the side walking frames?

Those frames on that specific template, Breeze, were designed to be used for Isometric use (x), not to be thrown into standard 4-way (+) movement.

Anyway, they are quite good, I think a little flat looking - maybe a bit more contrast?

I still really don't like the face you've used the isometric walking frames on the same spritesheet as normal ones.

They're not isometric, that's just the side views on the revamped Breeze template, Green Raven added a very slight angle to them to give them a bit of depth of but if you look they're still moving directly sideways and you only see one eye, which makes it a normal side view. That angle isn't nearly large enough to make those iso
I do agree on the contrast after looking at it again(expecially the greys) so even though they're GR's official Breeze palettes I'll mess with em to get the shading to stand out more. Thanks for the critique!

Well dithering tends to not work too well on little breezes but I'll try to figure out a way to fix it :)
 UPDATES!!!
Some familiar faces this time!
Two of the new WIPs are sprites I did on the old breeze template so now I'm re-vamping them for the new one(the old ones sucked pretty bad too, I saw how little contrast the old skeleton had and I almost :barf:ed ).
Then there's a sprite I did just the first frame of when I first tested the new template and lastly we have new guy who I'm calling Spuzzy

C&Cs?

the skeleton is kick-ass, its great to see someone else doing breeze.
The girls hair is a tad bit annoying though, im not sure if its the pallette i dont like, or just the style. XD regardless of personal taste, it seems to be well done.

cool you finished my skeleton, too bad the shading is still off on some places. "mostly side and backview"
And I think it would be better if you used your own designs instead of mine from now on :)

btw "spuzzy" looks great. But maybe you should tweak the eyes a little.

edit: those weren't official palettes more like the colors I just used and made into a palette. Some of the palettes aren't just suited for hair and such.

Nickster- Glad you like the Skeleton! I don't believe I've seen any Breeze sprites by you, you should do some! You seem to really like Breeze and it seems like me and GR are the only ones who really work on it anymore, it'd be nice to have more people making breezes ^_^

GR- Yeah I was starting to get into my own stuff(like the first girl and the goblins) but found this old stuff and decided to finish it, but that's it for your stuff I started I believe so everything else I do will most likely be original ^_^
I usually suck really bad with palettes which is why I've just stuck with those for now but I realized it's something I'm going to need to learn to do sooner or later, which is why I used the skeleton kind of as a "palette experiment." Since it seems to be pretty good I'll probably be using more custom colors from now on too ^_^
Thanks for the comments, I'll try to mess with Spuzzy's eyes before the next update. Would you mind pointing out where the shading errors are on the skeleton though? A lot of the shading on him aggravated me so I knew it wouldn't be perfect but I'd like to know exactly what it is I need to fix ^_^
