I have the 'pokemon essentials' and I want to know how I can have an event give a player pokemon. For example, when you speak to Prof. Oak and he lets you choose a pokemon, how do you make it so that when the player chooses, say, charmander the player will get charmander. No pokemon are listed in the database, so I'm completely stumped.

Keep in mind, questions regarding scripts go in the Script Support subforum. I've moved it, so no worries, but just remember it for future support questions. It just makes things easier for everyone if everything's organized, y'know?

As for the script, a quick google turned up a Wikia page for it -- BlueScope, does this help? It's pretty badly organized, and there's a lot to sift through. oblivious12123, if you could post a link to the topic where you found the script, it'd probably go a lot smoother.

(and another thing to remember for the future -- linking the script you're using when asking for support goes a long way with helping scripters figure out what's wrong. There are so many scripts out there that no one's going to be intimately familiar with each one, so it's really handy if someone can see what you're using firsthand.)

I have used pokemon essentials in the past, too. It's as Brew said: It should all just be in the tutorial that comes with it. The pokemon are not listed in the database but in an external .txt file. In the main folder i believe there's a html file with a pretty elaborate explanation of nearly everything included in the kit.
