Hey, I'm Crazyninjaguy, This is my first game on RPG Maker XP Pokemon Twilight! Of course, this is made using Poccil's amazing pokemon starter kit!

.:Storyline:.
I don't want to give too much of the storyline away, but here goes.
You live on an island in the Region of merdoh. There is a savage storm one night, and it takes out the bridge connecting your island to the mainland. Professor Rowan calls you to his lab because he has found something inside Seaspray Cave...

Okay now for your game. I hate to sound mean but its just another pokemon game with a few custom pokemon. I know Pokemon is a tried and tested game and by the logic, if it isn't broken don't fix it. However you could probably do so much more, just the title could open up a whole new range of things, cliche or not they could bring more to your story.

Spruce up the story, keep working and I'm sure you'll have a half decent game on your hands, good luck.
 
Final screenshot, the guy shouldn't be standing in the doorway like that. The pokemon tilesets are designed so doors are at a similar perspective to walls, so you either walk "through" it or not, having a character static in the doorway looks patheticly unproffesional.

When you start a project topic, you must have at the very least two screenshots of your work in progress, in addition to one full paragraph of story description. It shows that you are making a definite effort to make this game a reality, and are not just spouting a random idea that you came up with two seconds ago.

Three sentences ain't a paragraph. I know you want to avoid spoilers, but who cares if you spoil something that happens in the first ten minutes of gameplay? Tell us about your world's backstory, the setup for the quest, that sort of thing. Telling us about your characters isn't a requirement, but it couldn't hurt. Don't be afraid to spoil stuff people would be finding out in the first ten-twenty minutes anyway.

On the critique side of things, I hope you'll be able to change the battle windowskin in the game. That black-white gradient looks really ugly.
 
I also just noticed how you use the 3blade grass tile repeatedly for the general grass tile on your maps. Don't! It makes it look like a bucket-filled job. Use the green tile, then place the grassy tiles randomly where you seem fit for them to be.
The use of a gradient in the battle system windows made my D*** sore  :pissed:
 
I think this looks pretty nice.  And having a Ghastly as your starting Pokemon? Please tell me Ghastly's the starter, I love Ghastly.  @_@
 
I'm assuming the Ghastly v. Abra battle is the first battle? If so, it's traditional for the player to get a Pokemon that is weak to the rivals, which would mean the player should have the Abra and the rival should have the Ghastly...

Ok first of all, lets start with the maps, ok?

This is your house right? OK.
First of all it looks VERY empty I don't see ANY carpet, sofa,TV, or a kitchen but maybe
I just can't see it in this part of the map, which brings us to our next point.
The map seems a bit too big, don't you think too? Look at some interior mapping tutorials
they'll tell you aswell that it doesn't need to big.

As Xilef said in this map the 3 blade grass tile shouldn't be everywhere.
Also place some flowers to make it look more interesting.

All I can say about this, is that the sprite looks too small.
And now the story:
The beginning sounds ok, but really tell us more about the story.
The idea of having ghastly as a starter pokemon is nice :)
If you make your game better in terms of design and graphics (too big charsets and the gradient window which was quickmade in Photoshop)
I think this would be a good game :)
Also I wish you good luck with your game.

No it's fine, in pokemon psychic type > ghost type, so if Abra is the rival's then it will be super effective against ghastly with any psychic moves.
To fix your poor interiors, start off with 4x4 floor tiles and make extra floor space each time you want to play a doodad somewhere, rather than drag out the floor then shove in doodads and leave an empty gap in the middle. The hero's house in pokemon games are always simple and tiny.

I've changed the Battle graphics completely.
I've added some Flowers, trees etc.
Gastly is the starter because it's pretty weak.
I'm Improving the hero's house, (it does have a fridge and stuff lol you just cant see it)
I'll post more of the storyline as I get into the flow of the game.
And i think i've fixed the guy in the doorway, just haven't tested it yet.

4th screenshot, police guy on far right, the roof should be over him, not him over the roof. Fix that with priority settings for the tileset in the database.

Ghost > Psychic.
Dark > Psychic.
Dark > Ghost.

The reason Ghastly is weak to Psychic attacks is because Psychic > Poison. Although I suppose that does mean that the balance is quite even.

Being a Pokémon fan, I'll give you my thoughts on this game.
First off, it's a good effort for your first RMXP game. I'd probably have started with a non-Pokémon game, though, as the starter kit isn't easy to understand for beginners. But it doesn't really matter.
The thing that stands out the most in a bad way is the inconsistencies in graphics. Your logo has proper art for the player characters, but a sprite for the professor. Try to find some Sugimori art of him. Some graphics aren't resized properly, most notably the intro graphics and facesets. Resize them to fit the other sprites. Finally, you're using a mix of RSE and DP charsets. Spend some time getting some DP charsets and tiles.
When taking screens, it's good to either play with the small screen size, or resize the screens after taking them. At the moment, they look pixelated and horrible.
Finally, I'd say this game suffers from 'starter kit syndrome'. By that, I mean you're relying on the starter kit's scripts and graphics, and haven't made or found many of your own. I notice this most with scripts; only around a quarter (maybe even less) Pokémon fangames have any custom scripts - most creators cannot even edit the battle screen to suit their new graphics, and so have to design their graphics around the scripts. This is a needless, and sometimes ugly, limitation. Basically, learn to script ;)
I admit to using the same starter kit for my game, but comparing the two, yours still has a lot of room to improve. Please don't take this as a negative comment; if you put effort into it, it could go far.

I'm gonna start making my own scripts soon, I had planned to do that, but kept putting it off,
I guess i should start soon...
All my charsets are from D/P
But my tilesets are FR/LG
My graphical artist is working on the D/P tilesets by Kyledove,
but i just wanted to post some of my early progress.
I have made a practice game but i never released it cos i thought no-one would really like it...
But hopefully i can make this game the best i can ^^
