Phantasmagora Symphony

yeah its okay you can use it.
I wish i could help you but i only do Midi files my softwares donc do mp3.

yeah tahts all piano cause i always do my songs on the piano first so when i try to do it for a game i try to add or change the instrument in midi but the result is not really pleasant and sometimes its not even harmonic. like the fighting theme "determination" a bet you didnt know i tried to use an electric guitar. thats Midi files.
but it works like a charm with piano thats why i'm using it.

Peaceful people sounds nice when the clarinet comes in, reminds me of FF7, somewhere I don't remember quite where, but I really like it. :]

Lost memories is also nice, has those professional sounding chords going and the progression is well-solified most of the time.

Forgotten fears is interesting, even though the left hand of the piano feels a bit stiff, but that's midi, and the concept of it is rather nice.

Funny how Forgotten fears and You shall forget are like remixes. Why do they all have a different name anyway?

thanks for your comments. I was really looking forward to it.
People dont really care about songs thats unfortunate.

anyway, my songs are really created for video games they dont have any other purpose.
peaceful poeple was not inspired by any FF though i was looking for that kind a peace you found in joe Hisaishi's creation(mononoke hime, howls moving castle,etc...). Its a kind of chords progression with those orchestral strings it always gives that holy, sacred, peaceful touch. And the clarinet adds that sensitive touch. thats what i was thinking when i made the song.

about "forgotten fears" and you "shall forget" those songs are in fact one song or if you want. it starts with "you shall forget" i was looking for that moment when a memory bugs you but you cannot seem to remember what it is its there but it doesn want to come out. so you feel stuck in that kind deja vu. after that comes "forgotten fears" that song doesnt represent anything its just those moments like in FF7 when sephiroth becomes crazy lol. that song was inspired by the ff7 sephiroth situation. noting more nothing less.

Finally comes " lost memories" this song funny how people like it so much.
In fact it was just a variation of broken chords and it was made for a title screen.you can feel some kinda journey in that song going from good moment to sad moment to bad moment everything lol i don't have anything more to say about it.

I haven't taken the time to post it, but I've enjoyed your pieces. They're now on permanent loop along with some other game music I use to inspire me while making my maps and events. I imagine I'll probably be using a couple of pieces (with credit and permission, of course).

As a side-note, not a lot of people have posted probably because there isn't much to critique about your music. If there was something wrong, people would point it out. As is, most of us are just content listening to it :)

joe Hisaishi's creation(mononoke hime, howls moving castle,etc...)

...Do you mean Hayao Miyazaki?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hayao_Miyazaki

Anyway... the songs...

I'm going from the file names since you didn't do their tags the same as the list here...

Chant Archeon.... There's nothing wrong with the midi... It gets a touch discordant at times but that's okay because it sounds like it should... It makes me think of ... a scene where the hero's just returned to a city to find it desolated or something like that. Something sad and tragic... but nothing terribly emotional. The way it cuts off sharply at the end is a turn off however... is it meant to loop seamlessly by chance?

Homme is quite nice...Very peaceful, soft... I like how it crescendos and decrescendos a lot.... I love intensity changes in music. Definitely a kinda sad note to the sound of this as well... I wouldn't use it just for a "peaceful" feel... but also sad instead...

Lost Memories is QUITE Nice.... It sounds like just that... Lost memories... Something I would put to a flashback... A very gentle memory... something one is fond of remembering....Wow... I've seriously heard music from big commercial games that wasn't as good as this one. Total props! When it slows down about 7 minutes in... Oh that really took my breath away! I have no complaints for this piece... just wonderful!

Kingdom Hearts Angel is pretty sweet also... The 16th note sets that come in here and there kinda throw it off a little in my opinion, though it's nice to see classical piano elements used in video game music once in a while as well... The overall effect is moving... softly reminiscent, happy, peaceful... like walking through your childhood home and smiling at memories... That's what it says to me anyway.

Noir Constraste has a pretty cool sound... The constant bass beats are a little harsh on the ears in my opinion... but the overall effect is nice... This piece has a nice chunk of emotion in it as well. It's like a dark castle or a forest that one is not certain is safe to enter...

Le Chateau du Roi is interesting as well... Definitely a castle theme... A kind king... This is a very nice piece... I like the change-ups in it.

Fighting Theme (The Pub) Doesn't really have a battle theme effect to me... It's like it's missing the rest of the music that should go behind the melody... The running line in the background is kinda monotonous at points and drones... This is my least favorite so far on the list... My husband however, says he likes it for a battle theme. He says he'd use it in something particular but not common battles... I'd say that it's not a bad piece.... just not my taste... But I'd like it better if there was less monotony to the rhythm.

Fighting Theme (Determination) is better... I could imagine using it for a fight... but again, a specific fight... I'd be more likely to use this one for common battles than the Pub though. I don't have too much to say about this one... I'm best at telling people what emotion a song evokes and not too much on the technical side... sorry. ^-^

Confession is pretty nice... The rhythm (the buh-waaa, buh-waaa, that continues) is a little overpowering to the melody and I would back off on the volume of it slightly to let the melody shine a bit more... It sounds like a piece for a confession though so you've hit the nail on the head with your intent... Overall another good piece...

Noir I like. The title you've listed "You Shall Forget" is perfect... I can't complain about anything in this piece... It's just really wonderful... It evokes a sad, frightful sort of emotion... like being threatened by something dangerous, but in an emotional way... It flows very well...

All in all, you are truly gifted at this... I applaud your works!

If you don't mind, I may use any of these in my personal game which is a private one that I don't intend to distribute widely if at all... I'll still put you in the credits, regardless. Is that alright?

Tell me also if you'd mind your works being in a commercial game? My husband is putting together a much bigger project that may end up being sold if it's good enough. Would you mind if he used some of your songs? With credit, of course...

Thank you for sharing your music. I have enjoyed reviewing these songs!

Please keep making music! It is a beautiful thing to create these artful pieces... Thank you for making such art for the world...

Thanks you very very much for you comments it really is nice. Of cours you can use them they are free to use.

Sorry for the different file names to be honnest i'm french and i first wrote the name in french then translated them in english on this topic. so the name are basicilly the same just translated.

About Hayao Miyazaki and joe hisaishi well Miyazaki like it says it your link he is the creator of a formidable series of animated movie wich are so wonderful and i hope you'll have the chance to see even one of them.

Joe Hisaishi is the official composer of Miyazaki's movies so that might be confusing when you don't know them.

I will add more songs by the end of this week thanks very much fore the support again.

Aha!! I thought you were joking about the name o_o I didn't know the composer's name! lol Well he's a great composer then... I love the music in Mononoke especially! But I've seen all of Miyazaki's films and several of them have beautiful sound tracks...

As for the track titles, I figured that out in aftermath... It was "Le Chateau du Roi" that really gave it away hehe... I had just been listening to the songs in WMP and looking at the playlist while I typed my comments to get their titles rather than scrolling down... No worries there! I heartily respect anyone and everyone who speaks a second language. Thanks for translating the names for us! It makes it easier to relate to what you meant ... though looking at them as they showed up in the playlist I had less of an idea of what they were supposed to be called so I got more of my own feeling of what they were like emotionally I suppose... Hmm. *shrug*

Thank you for making your works available to the public for use! It's very kind of you to share your artistry!
I'll look for your next post eagerly!

<3 to you!

Lost Memories is pretty breathtaking (literally). It's so pretty. If it had a (more present) bridge and chorus it would actually sound like the orchestral version of a sung ballad. It somehow reminds me of the song Memories by Within Temptation, though. Also, it gets a little boring after 4 minutes because it just repeats the whole time. That's the only flaw in the song. It doesn't really build up. Which, I suppose, is normal for a game song, but still. I would have made it a 4-minute loop version. I also find the piano too present overall. I'd prefer it if there were some non-piano tunes thrown in -- with perhaps a harp, some drums, flute or violin to play out the melody. With Confessions, the "tuuduuu duuuu" thing that goes through the whole song is a little too present and actually doesn't sound pleasant at all.

ok i will keep that in mind for the next ones
I was really happy with the comments you guys said and it always is reallly constructif in the overall so thans i'll try to please everyone with the next songs.

Make a cool piano solo, I might resample it.
Ok i'm on it :) i always build my songs around feelings so the piano solo i'll see what i can do.

@Twin Matrix > I know what you mean. thats really important and i will work on that. I WILL !! lol.

Heres 3 new songs already :

I married "NoteWorthy composer" a long time ago every thing i do i do it with this program. so feel free to try it.

i never played hack//GU if you can give a like to the song so i can listen to it that would be nice.

Honestly I wish I could get a song to you that's in my head... I'm trying to midi it but I can't figure out the midi program well enough to lay it down... I can play it on the piano but I don't have a piano anymore so I can't lay down a track... It's one I composed on piano a long time ago but I can't write music....

Anyway... I think I'll look for that program you use and see if it's any easier to work with than anvil studio...

Oooooh my god its so better in Mp3 the emotion is Soooooooooo there.
I'm tottaly feel it thanks you aaah What program did you use do do that ?
