110th floor Natural Dancers which made me seriously reconsider my party members, as well as the 135th floor Mage Table... it just murders my Mitsuru.

+ wealth of fusion options, believable dialogue and innovative gameplay (dating sim + rpg = addictiveness akin to illegal substances).

No major spoilers please, one wouldn't want to ruin the game experience for other players of course. So all in all this is just basically a rant/ praise topic. And hopefully posters will use discretion when posting. E.g. I think posting playable characters besides the first 5 members of SEES counts as spoilers.

Discussions can range from "what's your favorite Arcana" to your favorite demon- persona/ questions on how to get a specific persona through fusion. Anything under the sun so long as there aren't any spoilers.

(As for me: favorite arcana, Empress. Favorite personae... Kikuri-hime and the other goddesses.)

Let me start it off: I seriously loved the "Changing Seasons" track (second school theme) but I can't really understand the french in it, so I was hoping there might be a french megaten gamer here who could help me with it.

The game has been quite easy for me <.< and it's my first time playing one of the Persona games. It's very nice so far (just got done with the vacation at Mitsuru's home), but I am always disappointed when I can do just one friend event during the day. X(

My favorite arcana has to be Orpheas, just cause the fact he has a huge harp-thing and smacks people with it. (Though, I don't use him much anymore :< I use Obereon for that Media he's got... and he's a fairy dude. <.< >.>)

And just to clear things up, Arcana is the class of persona... e.g. Orpheus is from the "Fool" arcana.

the Hermit Arcana girl "Maya" reminds me of you Rye actually... and all the other net rpg fangirls...

If you like fairies... you should get Chu Chuulain or Setanta (Dunno if Setanta's in this game though) Either way, they're both pretty boy warrior fairies.

It's such an addicting game though... along with megaten online... my freetime is sadly getting raped.

As for the difficulty... I guess it gets harder after the first 100 floors... or I was drastically underlevelled - . -;

And Persona's kinda like "megaten lite" If you really like the game and finish it, try megaten: nocturne for the ps2, I think it has more demons, and different mechanics (so far my favorite of the series on par with P3)...

Hopefully the megaten series gets more coverage in the West with this release (and I think it's working, people are starting to learn more about it.)

I want to get the funds to buy it soon, before it dries up like all Atlus games do. I hear it's really good, and it looks pretty cool. Besides, nothing says awsome like shooting oneself in the head to summon a demon of cataclysmic power. And the dating sim thing mixed with RPG gameplay reminds me of Riviera, which was just awsome.

You know, I had Persona III preordered, but had to cancel it due to a financial crisis. I'll prolly have to wait until early October to pick it up

Stupid money.

Anyway, I'm certainly looking forward to it. So far I've preferred Persona to the rest of the whole saga of games, so I'm assuming a new Persona game is good news for me!

I've never played the games either but i watch X-play.

Okay, your this Emo looking kid with blue hair that goes to this high school and during the day you can talk to your friends and hook up with babes, But when it becomes nighttime, The highschool turns into a big huge dungen thingy and you have a huge sword(I think) and when you go into battles you shoot yourself in the head (Yes i said it...Emo) but it summons persona or something like that and monsters come out and attack and then it just loops thru the day night and there are hundreds of randomly generated floors, It is all one huge dungen....-takes a deep breath in-...Thats all I can remeber right now

Just to say it's about Emo kids is a pretty dumb assessment. You shouldn't repeat what you hear on X-Play.

Really, I don't see much emos in it. So what if you shoot yourself in the head with something that isn't a real gun (explained in the game) to get your magic to come out. Sheesh. Good job on turning people off the game. =_=

Sorry arc, i might as well be, seeing as all my free time is spent playing persona 3 and megaten online...

Where did you get Emo from? Few if any of the characters in the game can be considered "emo"... As for shooting yourself in the head, a major theme of the game is conquering one's fears and quelling one's doubts (The big dungeon, Tartarus is supposed to represent the human psyche according to the artbook) - to summon a persona you have to stop fearing... or something like that: hardly sounds very "emo" to me.

And honestly, where did you get Emo from? The first few characters you get consist of the Popular Girl, The Jock and The Preppy as well as The Blank Slate (Your own character) so I really don't get where you're coming from....

I really feel the game's innovated a lot with its mechanics (then again, I always expected that from megaten games... even their mmorpg is superb - It translated the whole battle-weakness- priority online which was pretty impressive to me).

Lol alright, one more thing, your character can use a wide range of weapons and not just the big sword...

Xplay probably never got to the beach then. I'm not sure if Emo kids are capable of executing operation babe hunt - . -;

I have high doubts that X-Play ever finishes any games they review! Let alone RPGs, as they seem to hate any RPG it seems. Come on people! Give this game a chance if you aren't against dating-sim-like games!

I want the FES!

I want a hard mode (which is in the FES version in japan with an extra 30 hours added in) T_T man I only died once on normal... and that was cause 1 teammate got tired and I entered the bossfight with only 2 chars... when I went back with all 3 I won haha and same levels XD mwahahaa
I loved it... now I gotta pull out my persona 2... I dont remember which persona 2 I have though... eh I dont understand why they made 2 different persona 2's in the first place XD

You've got Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. The "sequel" to Persona 2: Innocent Sin.

If you're still craving for a megaten experience after P3, then go play megaten online... it's free to play.

Also yeah, I think they made P3 more mainstream regarding the difficulty... I wanted Nocturne Extreme boss fights but whatever.

I still doubt you'd be able to die only once in P3 though, unless you level grind...

Great... Now I probably won't get it... damn ESRB. I was going to go and pick it up tomorrow(yay for neighbours and their lawns), but then I remembered that I was 16. And that Persona is rated M. Chances are, by time one of my parents ends up wanting to go to the mall, Persona 3 will be long gone(DAMN YOU ATLUS!).

I'll go tomorrow anyway, see if I can seduce the clerk with my awsome charm and wit into letting me buy it lol. If not, I'll see if I can find anything else worth buying...(perhaps MP3 or EotN?)
