opinion on this dragon sketch

I made a dragon for the mascot contest.
I like the result, but I only got ignores/insults about it.
so.. go ahead, be mean if you have to. Is it really that bad, and why?

It looks decent, although i think it would have looked better with stylized cell shading rather than textured.

the 2nd post of that topic read, paraphrasing; "No dragons or kids that look like dragons". hence - insults! they thought it was a joke.

yeah the texture kinda screwed it up, as did the weird shading.

cruelty, I saw that post too but I thought it was part of the joke. if dragon aren't allowed, it's my bad and I apologize.
