The admins and mods tend to have a policy of "it's between the banner and the person who got banned" when it comes to banning, as they should, really.

You'll have to ask Ratty when/if he gets back. It wasn't his first ban either, and it really isn't an important discussion honestly. Reported to be closed, just to save time, as it does fall under either:
A) "pointless discussion"
B) "if everyone posted a topic like that..."
or some C) that I'm not privileged to talk about.
