NPC jump/hop on spot

Hi there. I want to make an NPC child hop up and down excitedly whilst watching a train. I'm not the best eventer and seem to be having difficulty making this work. I'm sure it's as simple as I want to believe it is lol. If anyone can help with this I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks.

Set the automonous movement of the child to Custom then make a move route:

@> Jump: X: 0 Y: 0

Hope this quick explanation helps, can't do anything more atm because I'm tired ^^.
If you don't understand it, I'll post a screenshot tommorrow.

Well Viperj is right. But if you need some more detail, here it is. First Open the Event your working with. Next like Viperj said, this is easier and saves space for Commands for your Event, you need to set the Movement Pattern to Custom. It's a box next to the Grapic of the Event. Once you set it to Custom, you should set the speed to 4 and the Frequency to 5. That way it looks more real, you could play around with the speed and such to get it to what ever you like. Next you need to click on Define Route. With in the new widow you find it looking just like a Move Command window, cause it is..........

So towards the bottom is the Jump button, click on it. A new window will open and it should already have everything set to 0. Keep it that way and Click on Ok. Next, click on the repeating option at the bottom. This will make the child Jump up and down over and over, like he's excited. Then click Ok and your done.

Oops forgot to reply. thanks - I can't believe it was as simple as setting the values to zero *smacks forehead*. With some variable frequency rates and wait times this kid looks very excited indeed.
