Not sure what I've done...Help?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but while I was mapping I thought I had everything right in the data base having the x's to make sure that I don't pass that part eg:

Instead of stopping the character from moving past those parts well...

Well yeah I can walk past them and I'm unsure why I can, because the x means that its none passable yet I can go on and walk up the houses like they were painted on the ground. Does anyone know how to fix this?

((There are no events on the map right now so its nothing event wise))
((sorry Images were a little stuffed fixed now))

The layers don't matter.  EDIT:  Actually, if the main parts of the houses are on the first layer, that just might have something to do with it.  Sorry Souloux, didn't mean to push your idea to the ground. : (  The best way to do it is to make your houses on the second layer, and the addons for the house, (windows, doors, etc.) on the third layer, in case you didn't already know that.  Though, I'm sure you do because your mapping is quite well done.  You should map for me! lol  But in my game you can't walk on the walls... so you'd have to break some habits.

Go back into your database where you switched your x's from o's.  On the right there are some tabs with different options for your tileset.  Make sure that your passage (4 dir) is set so you don't have the arrows on all over the house, that might override your first passage x's.  Though, I'm not sure... also, while you're there check all the other tabs to make sure that your bush flags aren't on or something.  Good luck. : )  You have to love being able to scaled walls like that.

I had a play around with the data base and everything is fine, I mapped how I usualy do and for some reason the first and second layer will allow the player to pass through everything anything on the thrid layer well is the only one working right.
Is there an option I pressed that I shouldn't have?

Also if you can figure this out I'd be more than happy to map a few towns for you heh ^^

Alright, Dagger, I think I know what's wrong.  I just did the same thing, and mixed all of my snow maps into one to make a decent village. (decent as in... it looks like it might actually be seen in some very cheap and pathetic games.)  But when I tried setting the x's and o's and the passages it still let me run through everything, like yours does.  However; then I went into my tilesets and copied the first Snow Town tileset to a new one on the bottom and changed the name.  I also then changed the "tileset" option to my new mixed one I named "snow set".  That way I could use all the tiles and still see how the first rtp set made it so you couldn't walk through things.  Then I just went through every tab on the right (passage, bush/counter flags, terrain, and priority) and figured out that my priority was off which meant that you could walk on top of everything.

So I just looked through the first part of the map which was the village and then followed the same pattern to do the rest of the tileset (caves and water and things) so it also had priority, directions, flags and so on.  See what I'm saying?

I hope that helped.
