About Nightfall

Nightfall is a game set in the year 2006, in a developed city which has yet too be chosen.

The basis of the game is quite simple. The game has a dark, gothic like mood to it. You play as a Demon Hunter, Shadow. (Apoligies for the little information, as i only started yesterday which is why its in new projects)

The battle system is of an RPG nature, the battle system gives players full side to side movement and attacking (Think somthing along the lines of the 'Tales of' series and a side on fighter game such as Street Fighter). The system tries to keep things as simple as possible while giving the player many battle options and attacks.

While out of the battle system, the players is able to move around in side view and intreact with various NPCs (Non-Playing Characters).

Here are some 'VERY' early shots of the system in action. For the sakes of clarity, i added some random stick figure over the boxes to show you what they represent, and to the person who nexts asks if those are the final graphics designs, yes sir, it is (not).

Below is a download to a very early battle system. You are able to move left and right, jump and do an attack. There are no battle animations yet but some simple graphics have been put in to make it simpler to view and use.

Yea, maybe. But i dont really have any good screen shots to offer since its just a box chaseing you.

which buttons are which? and y is there a big blue box chasing me?
I dont remember the buttons. Im making it so it can be configured but for the sake of testing i quickley made them up.

And also, the Boxes are really just templates of the character. Its gives me a visual on where they are positioned and where they attack.

Oh, the skills wont be added till i finish Enemy AI and basic Hero Movement.
 
^Two red boxes and two blue boxes with grass as the ground isnt much fun to look at. Im still thinking of character designs, but i have a fair idea so far (And thats why this project is in the 'New Projects' forum).
