Newbie Question x:

Hullo everybody.  I just registered a bit ago.  And I have a question...

I have a HUGE plot planned for my RPG... and I need to know before I finish plotting, if you are able to create a space setting.  Would anybody know if this is possible, or if there is something I can download to make it possible?

You can make just about any setting you want, it just depends on how hard you want to work. :) I haven't seen much in the way of space-themed resources, so you might have to make most of that yourself, or find people to help. If you want spacey-type physics, you'll probably need to script that yourself too. Is there anything specific you want to do that you're thinking might not be possible?

Well... Space travel is one thing... I might have to come up with some kind of cinematic images or something.  I'm not really sure how I'm going to pull it off D:

I know for most of the travel, I can just make the interior of the space ships for the character to explore until they reach whatever destination... but I want at least one travel sequence...

You can make cut-scenes in RMXP, but it could look a little strange if you're trying to do epic space battles. If it's just travel, I think that would work out fine. Just make a map, use a spacey-looking background, make a spaceship character set, and maybe a chipset with some planets/celestial bodies on it. (You could do some fun things with battle animations too, if you can make/find some good ones.) Then, you can use events to invisiblize the hero, teleport to the cut-scene map, and direct the cut-scene itself. Using cinematic images is another good option, though, especially if you want to do complex things.
