New Here and don't know

Since it's an Introduction and Farewells section this allow me to make comment here.

Has you already know it I' new here but I'm in the RPG business for years now and I'm french. I'm in the respect to DerVVulfman,Ccoa and Erk for so long now that I can remember when I encounter them on the net.

I just take a look at their post here and i'm a little bit confuse about this web site. A tone of peoples recommends me here to be member but after seeing and reading their posts carefully, and all the answers that comes with it, left me a bitter taste. Then I check for every farewell post and stubble upon the Haki post... It's astonishing me when I read answers to his post make by some of the moderators here. It was pure degradation and they laught at the users but this one made nothing but to quit for those reasons (politness of moderator V.S. Users and falty tolerence).

I discuss with others frenchs friends here and they pointed me this users(Kept anonymous but mod know him it seems as they tell me) that I know for long time on others forum, he get banned from here for a french comment in a post. But this user was here since the .net debute and for .org since 2006-04-15. this User attemps to create other user to log in here and explain what happen and warn others to be cautious here and he attempt to did it in here, the farewell section, and all his attempts get banned and his post erased. It seems to be racism and censure for us. If this forum is strictly for some nationalities, it must be written in the liscence when you registred so that way there will be no confusion at all. As you might know, in forums, there are always gathering of little community (like french people and others) and all those little community are bind together by one thing that make a larger community.

It's really strange cause that's not the reputation of this web site I was tell about. At lots of peoples recommend me here and the reputation of this site was good. But when you take a look at those farewells post it's kinda the oposite that peoples seems to talk about. What happened here? It's really strange

But I found some interestings peoples here and reading some treads that I found that are well done here that anywhere else, kept me from resinging from now. i wish to see thing get better around and see more tolerent users and moderators cause after all we are all here for one reasons... RPG

This is my 2 cents of an introductions, I hope I'm not injuring anyone, It just strange for an introduction for a new web site.

Seeing ya around,
Strider Hiryu

I think a lot of content here is better left for an administrator to explain, but I can at least explain a couple points you've brought up, I hope. I don't know much French, so I hope it's alright if I keep this post in english.

If you're talking about lordsith, there is a reason his post was deleted. First off, yes, we are an english-speaking forum, and we prefer that posts here are written in english. That is not why we deleted his post, though. The topic that lordsith wrote consisted of one sentence. Lordsith's post was not deleted because he was French -- his post was deleted because it was spam. You do not create a new topic to tell your friends on the forum about an outside event -- that's the reason the forum has a PM system.

As for his ban, creating duplicate accounts is against the rules. The reason doesn't matter. If you create more than one account for any reason other than trying to get an old account back, both accounts will be banned -- it is written in the rules.

So, in short, his topic was deleted because it was spam, and he was banned for creating another account, which is against the rules. His nationality had nothing to do with it -- we encourage people to post in english so that the majority of members can understand what is being said, but we don't ban people because they speak another language.

I hope I've cleared up the issue for you. If you have any other questions regarding lordsith, or if lordsith himself  (I assume you are a friend of his?) would like to ask about his ban, please tell me.

Also, the farewell posts are the way they are because these people make a huge point of being incredibly dramatic about their reasons for leaving, and insult the site and its members more often than not. It's getting tiring, and so when people make huge BAW topics, they're rarely taken seriously, simply because they're usually very ridiculous and melodramatic.

Anyway, welcome to RMXP.ORG! I hope you enjoy your time here.

Yeah, they're all gone now. The place has changed a little bit, it's still big but definitely not the biggest rpg maker site anymore and yes the new administration is...different.

I think I recognise that username...Strider.Hiryu would I have seen you on any other forums?

A great deal of improvements have also been made to the forums themselves. This includes a clear list of forumwide rules, and more clearly designated areas for projects in their varying stages of development. We've even got a consultant from another forum working to improve .ORG further.

In other words, it's not all bad. :P

Most of the people who leave .org on bad terms leave because THEY did something wrong and they didn't like their punishment.

We have no tolerance for people without:
a.) A sense of humor
b.) People who baw over frivolous, stupid crap
c.) People who "join bandwagons" even when they don't see the full picture
d.) People who can't follow BASIC COMMON COURTESY and RULES, then COMPLAIN when they're punished for not doing so.

I'm a nice person. I'll bend over backwards to make sure your grievances are noted and dealt with. However I won't baby people who act like babies when they are in the wrong.

I can assure you that any information streaming around about this forum is GREATLY falsified and slanted.

We're about having fun and sharing stuff. If people don't like that, and if they don't like following the rules, then so sorry, good luck, don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you.

If however you DO have a good sense of humor and you CAN follow rules, then welcome! Have a seat and a smoke, and don't forget to tip the waitress.

@Chimmy Ray : I think that I have get the point. i understand the situation but Still that the farewell post I mention are well done and polite it's the answer they got that make me upset. They lack of politness and respect.

@Venetia: I don't think DerVVulfman,Ccoa and Er have done something wrong. And BASIC COMMON COURTESY and RULES as I see are often not respected and the simple rules of respect is not respected ;) like the LGBT rights in the Republic of Ireland  down here. But overall I got you point and like I said i'm not pointing every moderators and administrator but look a some Luminier  post and you'll understand.

@LGBT rights in the Republic of Ireland: It post like your that I'm talking about, there is a little something hidden between line in your post that is BASIC COMMON COURTESY laughting.

thanks for your quick response...

I thought I had covered the reason why the people who make huge dramatic posts and leave aren't given utmost respect. Oh well. :x

Basically, these people who make long, well-written posts telling us how much we suck and they they're leaving don't have the entire picture, and they're choosing to make a big dramatic mess of things and leave. You have the right to laugh at someone who is insulting you and the community you belong to, based on a secondhand recounting of events. A large number of the people who spread bad rumours about .ORG are people who broke the rules and were punished for it, but didn't like that they were being punished in the first place.

It's definitely rude if you look at it without knowing the background first, but it makes more sense when you know the context, trust me.

I don't think that LGBT (we all call him "moog" or "moogs") was mocking you, by the way. I think he just couldn't think of anything important to say. :P

After a certain point, you have to understand, the respect goes flying out the window. We're not going to wear kidgloves for every person who thinks their feelings are being trampled. The fact of the matter is, nobody means anything personal by anything they say. It's all in good fun. If someone can't take the heat, then get out the kitchen--don't sit there and try to make yourself a "martyr" by making a long, melodramatic, spammy farewell.

He could have PM'd me or any other administrator and said, "I feel that what you did was wrong." And we would have respected him and explained our reasoning.

But, instead, he flew off the handle and left a bleeding heart notice. That's not what mature people do. So we reacted in the same way he did: immaturely. Do two wrongs make a right? No. But is it sometimes funny? Yes.

ccoa and Erk left a VERY long time ago, after they handed the site over. Their leaving had absolutely nothing to do with the current administration, because they were never around to see it. It also basically boiled down to a misunderstanding in the transferal of ownership rights, then escalated when they publicly complained & dramatized about it.

DerVV was a good member and I regret his leaving, however he didn't like certain people and he was well within his rights to leave. Admittedly his farewell thread was a bit over-the-top in drama, so some people attacked that. But not all of us did. People are allowed to have and share their opinions.

What I find amusing is how a lot of people cite the very few cases of "bad behavior", without ever even batting an eye at the tremendous amount of GOOD content.

I don't get it, his username is usually moogle_something, so he's just being friendly?

Ok, now this is utter bullshit. I make one little remark and I get all this hell for it?! Honestly, not only was "lolfrenchies" fairly tame by any standard, but compared to what many others have said, it's downright weak. Not to mention the fact that I did not intend it to be a racist remark. In fact, I actually meant it to be more of a mockery of the French language, not its peoples(which I agree is also pretty bad, but I wouldn't have meant that either), but as I often find my vocabulary failing me, I came up with "lolfrenchies", which does indeed sound very offensive. What you fail to realize, though, is that that single post is most likely the only instance where you would find me making a comment of such a nature where it is not painfully obvious that I am joking. You seem to be under the impression that I make these sorts of posts often, when in fact, I do not. The fact that you believe this is very wounding to me, as I do not like being accused of being a racist, because I am very much not!

By the way, why does your IP change every time you post? I hope you understand that creating another account after you have been banned is called ban evasion, which is against the rules.
