New Battlesystem; Pictures in textbox; Words above heads

Hey,


Got a few questions here. Firstly, can anyone direct me to a tutorial about changing the look of the battle system? So it's more like Final Fantasy...with the side view of your characters and the enemy...instead of your characters being in the bottom underneath their stats.

Also, how do I put the characters picture in the box where words come up? And, how do I make words above their heads? Like, say I just want "!!!" to appear above a characters head to simulate fright or something, how do I do that?

1) Minkoff's Side View Battle System. Do a search for it.
2a) Get a message system, such as the AMS or ccoa's UMS(you'll have to look on other sites for this one, as she's not here anymore)
2b) Try using 'Play Animation' on the character, using the '?' and '!' animations.

Well thanks for the links, but those are all for VX and I'm using XP...isn't there one for XP?
