[NES] Music Track: "Yet Another"

Hey guys!

Been working on composing music for NES hardware (for totally no reason at all :dog: ).
Took a few days to learn the tracker software, but I'm getting the hang of it.

I like how this one came out, and figured I'd share it. Please let me know what you think.

Most NES emulators should support the file as-is, I know that FCEUX does for sure.

Cheers!

Edit:

Some behind the scenes stuff: NES audio is limited in channels, in frequency, and in shapes. These inherent limitations make everyday audio tricks like reverb kind of a pain. This track was an experiment to see if I could recreate some of these effects, and for the most part, it was successful. The lead has a reverb to it, the drums have punch which exceeds the usual limitations. I've packed a bit more into each channel that is typical from other work I've encountered so far. Still a bit to learn, but I'm still fairly new at this, and I like to think I'm off to a good start.

Edit 2:
The track is just over a minute long, don't think its just the first bit repeating, that only repeats twice then goes into the 'chorus'.

I started working with Famitracker about a week before making the posted track. It was a learning process, but it's a fun process, so I'll share some of the steps along the way:

First, I had to learn the sequencer. Drums were particularly difficult, I just used the noise channel. Also couldn't figure out how to change octave, so it's higher pitched than I would have liked.

Second, wanted to make an angrier track and for no good reason, the Mortal Kombat theme got stuck in my head. Figured out how to change octave and duty on the noise channel, managed to make percussion "barks" which are a bit better.

Third, starting to get the hang of this. Worked on actual composition and volume settings for the tracks. Learned to abuse the arpeggio feature a bit to create better shapes (better sounds, basically). Still really lacking in effects.

Fourth, figured out how to get more than the basic channels working, figured out how NES effects worked (still not very good with them). Tried to get creative with percussion, didn't really take. Did get a better bass sound.

Finally, managed to get effects working the way I wanted to create actual synths, and figured out the DCPM channel to get drums to actually have some punch. Also found the tempo control and pattern table, so that I don't have to copy and paste notes. This is the same track as above, but in .wav for people that don't want to install an emulator. To me, though, the impressive part is that it actually sounds like this on the NES chips.
