welcome! the first thing i recommend if you haven't made a game before is to check out the completed games and especially the project development thread. Both threads will definitely spark/re-spark your interest. However, the completed games will spark your imagination and give you a ideas for things you never thought this engine could do. While the project development thread will keep you grounded as you see pages and pages of unfulfilled dreams lol, while motivating you to be one of the elite few to actually finish a project (good or bad). Though the second part is a competitive nature that you already must posses.
if you need any help with anything, or looking for guidance, or feel yourself falling to the darkside (procrastination) don't be afraid to pm any of the mods (people with none black or yellow colored names) for help. They would love nothing better than to help you and are very good at what they do. (as long as you do the proper research before asking first of course).
