Need suggestions for LAN games

Jason

Awesome Bro

Hey everyone, so me and my brothers have decided it'd be fun to play some games through LAN, and would like suggestions, I mean, I'm not too great with suggesting LAN games since I prefer singleplayer or online multiplayer, so I'd need other people to help compile a list of games that we'd enjoy

We'd need it to allow atleast 5 players, since my dad likes to pop in and out of games with us too, and would prefer games that are either first person or third person shooter, or racing games, but I guess anything can pass as long as it's fun.

As for the genre, basically anything with action, horror or just random shit that looks fun will work for us, lol

Personally I'd prefer games that are co-operative play through LAN but I guess competitive would work too, I mean, some of my brothers prefer versus over co-op anyway, so a choice would be great, but meh...

And finally, the games shouldn't be too hardware intensive, I mean, two of my brothers computers aren't great (One is a laptop, go figure...), but can run graphics equivalent to Call of Duty 4, so yeah, not spectacular, but meh, that may provide some form of guidelines, lol

... And yeah I'll be pirating ofcourse, don't judge me! :box:

Hey wow that's a very cool link, I have no idea why I haven't heard of this before, but it's very useful, thanks a ton!

A few games I experienced to be awesome on LANs are Flatout 2 (the original, not Ultimate Carnage), which is just a blast as soon as it works for everyone, as well as Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, which is just the single-most awesome game I've ever played on LANs. It actually had us (group of 4 to 6 friends) host two LANs just to play that, and the fever still hasn't flawed down after a good 100 hours of LAN gameplay. It's just awesome if you like tactical cooperative or versus gameplay that isn't boring CS or the like.

Most recently, I've been playing Settlers 2: RttR with Raven and a buddy... it's quite a fun game, but it's really hard to convince people to play it. As long as you got the original game or a fitting download site to get the game data of the original, you can download the inofficial and most recommended add-on here (get the latest nightly build!).
