Need Help With The Message Box Commands

When I try to put \n[HeroID] to put the hero's name in the box or any of the codes it doesnt work. It just shows "\n[HeroID] My Text" in the game.
If anyone can tell me why its doing this.

I put it in my Show Text Event, idk if it belongs there or if its a script. Please Help Thank YOu!!!

When you put in the ID, do do it like this: "\n[1]"?

Also, this isn't really RGSS support.

Thanks it worked, one more thing if you can tell me how to get the character name in a little box for example http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/ ... Arena2.jpg[/img]. Is there some type of coding that is needed for this, and if soo do you know a topic that explains how to do this.

For that, I'm afraid you'll have to use a script.

Dubleax's(sp) AMS, and ccoa's UMS are fine choices. Just do a site search.

Hey sorry for the double post, but how do i edit Ccoa's script because im having a problem when i import it into my game I get this windowskin error cause i dont have the one she has...

well for the name you should use dubealex's. Its awesome. If you want the little name box just put this in the message aswell
\name[Insert Name here]

You may have to do a bit of editting if you want to change the windowskin, font etc, but it is simple stuff within the script.
