Need Help! ...with switches & conditional branches

OK. I don't know where to put this but here goes...

I don't know how to explain this so I'll give you an example.

You see, the player talks to a person and says that he wants to fight him. But then that NPC says that you need to collect the Something Crystal in order to fight me. OK. Then the player finds the Something Crystal and shows it to the guy and the fight begins. I know how to do everything except for making that guy fight the player after he has the Something Crystal.

This really isn't the section for it, but I figure I'd help where I can. All you need to do is make a conditional branch that requires a certain item in your inventory.

Check the spoiler for a screenshot of what it should look like, obviously replace the potion item with the crystal and you should be good to go.

Cheers!

Thank you so much! However, could you please tell me how to make it like...

I want to fight this guy but then he says that you aren't strong enough. So, I need my player to get to level 10 for example in order to fight him. What condition is there for that?

The simplest way of doing this for me, would be to make a conditional branch for a skill that the character would learn at level 10.

Something like this

The final screen of how the event should look would be:

Yeah, use Control Variables. (Control Variables is one of the key commands to making things work in RMXP. Study every single item in it. They will all be useful some day, even ones that aren't obvious, like Terrain Tags.)

Set a variable equal to the player's level. Insert that in the conditional branch above.
