Need help with events!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi im new to the forum btw.

my first question (and most importend):

anyway im trying to make a character move to a place and then stop after that i want to get back to the control of my character and walk to him then i want him to say are you ready? i have all that but i cant get it good.
when i now enter the room he walks to the left but he doesnt stop he keeps walking i find this realy weard

question 2:

i also dond get it how i make a nice event conversation like joe says: lets get outa here and then i want that a other guy sasy something back i can already make characters say soemthing but not a event that someone says soemthing back to someone else i realy dond get this help pls

question 3:

this is a question about the battlesystem the system is ok but how they fight is ealy boring soem pictures who are fighting eachother looks boring is there a way to get some cool battle animations (or whatever you call it) like in suikoden 2 i liked that agme realy much or like final fantasy

wel that was all i hoep you guys can help me out especially with the first 2 questions and try to explain it step for step im kinda noob:D

and o yeah is there anywhere to get some cool character disings like cloud or sephiroth or something?

make a 'set move route' command.
to make the player move, on the drop down box, select 'player'. to make a character(NPC) move, do the same, but select 'this event'.
mark the 'auto run' option.
to make it STOP moving, make a new page in the event. in the 1st page, after moving, turn self switch A on. go to the 2nd page. under condition, select 'self switch A is on'. here you can continue the event: make him say something, make the player walk to him, etc.

if you want to force the player to walk towards him, add a 'set move route' in the 2nd page.

ok got it working but now the point where he turns is ok and goes over to other event but then hes standing stil but then walking while standing stil wtf?
how can i solve this?

lol. that's the longest sentence I've read..
I think you mean he isn't turning left when walking left, etc. you have to tell him 'turn left' in the move-route command.
also, don't check the option 'direction fix'.

i mean he is walking while standing stil so he dond walk to anywhere but stil hes walking. that just looks weard i want him after he thit his route i want him to stand stil but he is stil walking while going nowhere get it now?
i know its a bit confusing but i dond know a better way to tell it:-/

so again he is standing stil but you stil se his legs walking, there, cant be clearer then that :D
 
Sorry, but your spelling leaves a lot to be desired. I would recommend you typed all your messages up in a word processor so you can spell check them, then c&p into the message box.

You have 'stop animation' checked. This button means the event will animate while it's stopped. Uncheck it. (It's in the bottom left of the event page.)
 
i mostly get of it now, but stil the hardest part like someone is talking and another char comes in the room (at a later time) he says something bla bla bla i mean you cant do this with 1 event then you must make a new 1 and link this in some kinda way.
i tryd this out but i never got it to work anyone knows how?
 
You need a separate event for the other character. Make the first page blank, then the second page has the characters sprite and a precondition of a switch (Which your master will trigger).

Heres a general rule for cutscenes (Where people run around and say stuff etc) Do all the control out of one event, a master event. In a scene i might have three people, some monsters, and a sword sitting around on the scene, and their event pages will be blank.
 
Yes, you need another event to show the animation for the 2nd character. But you can control many events from a single event.
(and it's much easier to keep track of, and control timing)
If you notice in the "Move Route" command, you can select which event you want to move.

For text, just use event commands like:

@>Text: SKIPPY: Hey there, how are you?
@>Text: ALUXES: Hangin' in there. What's up?
@>Text: ALICE: Anyone want popcorn?

Even though one event is displaying them all, it looks like different characters talking.

To make a character enter the room in the middle of a scene,
start out with a blank event somewhere on the map.
Then, when you want the character to enter,
move that event to the doorway "Set Event Location",
change the graphic "Set Move Route -> Change Graphic",
make him walk "Set Move Route",
then make him talk "Show Text"

Get it?
