Need Help right off the bat...

Hey I'm just getting back into the Rmxp swing of things. I used it heavily on my old computer with windows XP and I just installed it on my newer Vista Computer. I have everything working correctly but I have a weird problem and I have no clue whats causing it. The problem is when i start my games my character sprite moves on its own (this is happening without any other event on the map besides the party starting location.) and only 2 directional keys on my keyboard work to change its direction and to add insult to injury the 2 keys that do work aren't corresponding to the correct direction... In other words the down and right keys work but the right makes him move left and down make him go up and he doesn't stop moving. I hope I described this well enough and if anyone can help me by telling me how i can fix this problem or point me in the right direction it will be appreciated!

1) Restart your computer.
2) Start a game and press F1. Go to the keyboard and make sure that the keys described by the keyboard tab are correct.

Those two steps should work. If not, then maybe someone else has an idea.

I did a comp restart and it didn't work... anyone got a plan B...?

*Update: I found somebody with the same problem, all i had to do was switch out my keyboards and things are working correctly. It resolved itself.
