Using capitals, punctuation and fixing your mistakes would make your post look better, but anyway.

I'm not going to repeat "don't start thinking about MMO's", I think you'll realize by yourself why not. Rather, I'll tell you to start by making an offline game with RPG Maker or some other maker. The first thing you need is to know how the game creation process looks like. You also need to start learning very basic computer logic.

Do that first and we'll see afterwards. You need to get the feel of it first, and little softwares like RMXP are a good way to start, because online game are in an entirely other league, even for experienced makers.

.. MMO's are hard to achieve in most game engines and even if you do get a script that does it, trust me, simplicity probably won't come with it. Using softwares like RMXP for an offline game as stated above, is a good start. You could make MMO's in RMXP and RMVX although it would be hard. Whatever else is stated above.

What engine are you using anyways? There are a lot of decent tutorials for RMXP and RMVX, so you shouldn't have any problem developing your skills of game making in those programs.

Trust me, you will never -- and I mean NEVER -- be able to make an MMO by yourself at the age of 17. Not even with a team of 5 people. Small/Offline games are just as fun to make and play, so there is nothing wrong with making them instead. Take a look at a game like World of Warcraft; now think: "Can I make this?"

It takes a lot of effort to make game, even if you aren't programming anything and you're using a game maker. It also pays off: you'll feel proud of yourself and you will have (hopefully) entertained others.

If you really want to make a game, then spend at least two hours a day practicing with RMXP; make sure you try eventing something hard, or maybe make some things in the database. After at least two weeks of this, go ahead and make a practice game. Once you've finished it, you can begin working on your real game.

That's my two cents.

P.S. Most web browsers have built in spell check systems, and if you really are 17, then it shouldn't be too hard to write a post like Zekallinos, Feline Warrior and I did.

There are many things I CAN harp on (how at 17 you can't seem to form a proper grammatical sentence, why you would be working FULL TIME at 17, or how you can have a "great social life" with the afore mentioned statements), but I won't.

Anyway, I figure I'll give you some tips.

First and foremost, as mentioned before, get rid of the idea that you want to make an MMORPG. You're 17, it just ain't going to happen. There are programs out there that you CAN make an MMORPG, but most of these are going to require that you learn a scripting language (which is by no means an easy thing to do) and learn to sprite a shitload of resources on your own, also not the simplest thing.

There are scripts out there that can turn a game made with RMXP or RMVX into an MMO, but even if you get them, you're going to have to make the actual game first. So, that being said, you're MUCH better off ignoring the desire to make an online game, and instead focusing on figuring out whether or not you even like developing a game enough to go down that road. RMXP/VX are pretty easy to use programs with what you can find out there these days, but they are by no means easy. Like any good program, you will have to learn to go outside of the box, and use more than what is given to you. Be it learning to script (which you are going to want to do if you choose to follow game development as a profession), pixel art, rendering, etc.

I should also warn you, that if you can't spell and use proper grammar your game will go down the drain in a hurry, and you should just give up on the concept entirely, or find somebody who CAN do these things for you.

I think the best thing, as mentioned above, is to start out with RPG Maker XP. Look at it this way. It's a sandbox. You now have to fill it. Mess around with things, on your own. Try and do things, for yourself. Think of what you'd like to do and then set out to do it. Look at it as a puzzle. These programs are wonderful in my opinion for the mind. You have to really think of creative ways to do things. Look at things differently and really work for something (with your mind). Try not to rely on sites like this and others (google). Once you feel you did what you wanted, come here and compare and to see how others did something. But if your really stuck or are completely out of Ideas (not Idears) then come back to the site and read up. You need to be a little less green (as in new branches on a tree) before you can really dig into anything such as a full on game. This is at least how I feel. I was once new and I did a boat load of things long before I even thought about going to the internet. I'm glad I did, this site and others are just wonderful!
