Need advice on choosing IT course

Okay so here it is I chose to do (in college) a Btec IT practitioners course. I'm not sure whether I should do software or networking. My cousin says that networking is big money (he said a guy got £5000 for fixing up a company in Scotland) but in software there is money as well (not sure how much).

I want personally do software programming but am hovering in between because I'm still unsure. Could someone give me some advice that will make me sure.

P.S I'm choosing in two days I think (it's induction so still unsure) so any help would be very much appreciated

~RoaringSasuke (asking for insightful advice)

I can only do this as it's a Btec (worth three A levels), what would you suggest I do keeping in mind it's months too late to change?

Money is less important than doing what makes you happy. I do software engineering because I enjoy it, even though there's more money in systems analysis.

I agree with ccoa do the one you will enjoy more.
I do AS/A2 Further Maths currently (10 hours a week) and the people who dropped out from last year (where we did AS/A2 Maths) were not the people who were bad at it generally but the people who did not enjoy it.
Remember how much your going to have to do of whichever you choose and do the one you will enjoy more/can do for that many hours.

I don't know exactly what you mean.
Exam board is Edexcel.
I did Core 1-4, Statistics 1 and Mechanics 1 last year.
This year i'm doing further pure maths 1-3, Decision 1, Statistics 2 and Mechanics 2.

I found that there were two types Statistics and some other one I forgot, they were seperate A-levels in the college I (am going to) attend. Anyways from what most people say I should go with whats more interesting for me, so I think I'll stick with software as I think I could survive two years of that.

@Myonosken: Just out of curiousity what course have you/are you doing?

@Fomar/ccoa: Thanks for the advice
