I like it! It's nice, especially for a first sprite.
My one true gripe is with some of the colouring, particularly the hair, which seems overly saturated. It seems almost too blue, you see. Perhaps if it were a little bit more washed out.
Other than that, though, I think the mask it an original and neat idea. Perhaps you could make a variant with darker robes? Nevertheless, good job
