Name in text box?

You need an additional window for that, meaning something around the lines dubealex did in his AMS long, long ago... so if you're using RMXP, this'll be the script for you.
If you wanna do it by yourself or use RMVX, here's what you wanna do, roughly outlined: Create a new window, let it be called from the message window's definitions (you might wanna trigger it by asking for a name given in the message string itself) and show it when it's != nil or whenever you want to show it. If you need further assistance with that, feel free to ask.

Ok, thanks for the help. I'll try this out when I've gotten some sleep and my mind is functioning properly. :P
[it's 6 am where I am and I've had no sleep]

If you don't know how to code this yourself, use Ccoa's UMS or Dubealex' AMS as mentioned earlier. They're both simple to use:

UMS Format: \nm[Hero's Name]
AMS Format: \name[Hero's Name]

The UMS displays only the next above the window, whilst the AMS displays a window wrapping the text. These can of course be changed to do the exact opposite.

If you don't know what the abbreviations stand for, it's:

UMS - Universal Message System
AMS - Advanced Message System

If you can't find it by searching this site, try Google.

Oh, and if you're using RMVX I'm not sure if this works.

Hope this helps.
