I noticed some people talk about it in the Mental Malfunction thread and I thought it would be interesting to talk about that stuff here. Oh and if anyone has a good link for a free test, then feel free to post them here. I'm interested to see the personality types on this forum.

Why do I get the feeling this is going to be a popular one?

You're right the tests probably aren't perfect, it's really hard to place everyone in a nice category, but it's interesting to see. As for me, I think mine is pretty right on.

It's probably not as accurate as the ones you have to pay money for, but I think it'll work if you answer honestly.

I just took the test you gave us and came up with a different result.

The test says I'm an INFP, an Idealist. Which actually seems a lot more accurate to me than INTP since I'm more feeling than thinking.
I actually took that test long ago so I might have changed.

Maybe :D That's why if anyone has links to different tests they should post them here. Some are probably better/more accurate than others. That's just the first test that I found right now when searching. But I remember taking another test and getting the same thing.

Found another one. EDIT: Took this test right now and I got ISFP - The Artist. Well I'm probably either one or somewhere between the two.

According to the last test Lene posted, I'm an ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging) with pretty solid numbers (in the high 80's to various 90's).

How could they be set up as two alternatives? I see them completely as the same thing...

Well, I see them as two completely different things. Empathy, harmony and forgiving is on the Feeling side, Logic and Justice are on the Thinking side.

I'm one of the few who actually paid to do this test (part of careers workshop). THe test told me I was an INTP, and after reading the description, it really does accurately represent who I am... which is to be expected really, considering I shelled over $55 for the whole thing.

I don't particularly take enjoyment out of repetitive and unfulfilling tasks, instead preferring a more innovative and challenging atmosphere.

(Why in the hell did I choose accounting for my future career....)

IXTP is what I came up with. Split perfectly between ISTP and INTP. I think either fits pretty well, though I'd kind of lean towards ISTP in my mind. Artisan vs. Architect. Silliness.
