My very first attempt at "pixelling"...a HK character

Well...I was bored today and started to "paint" a HK character. I used the HK template of course. I never touched pixel-by-pixel painting before, so here's the result:

There's only the first frame - I don't wanna continue before the first frame is really good.

And now...start shooting at me No seriously...I really need some help here and of course some advice and stuff. What do you like about this char and what don't you like and why...? Thanks for your help.

It's really not bad, if you ask me. The vest might be a little off, but it's still good. Also, I think the boots and pants could use some work.

I think the hair is alright, its a mullet, just like the one macgyver has

Not bad but you need a light source. That'd help you alot more in determining where to put shadows. I don't like the boots at all. I think you should reference those because what you have going on [[not to sound mean]] looks kinds like some fairy crap. Not feeling it at all. But for the most part its good. The pillow-shading has to go though. And just take the hair down a few pixels on the end. I also like how you put it as my pixelling. either way keep it up find a light source and make it happen Cap'n.

Alright...I started again - this time with a complete walk cycle. I tried to eliminate some major issues and added some detail. I hope it looks better now :D

I think the outline of the hair could be a little harder, but it's still pretty good. Much better with the clothes on the second one, although the detail of the vest are gone now. They made that vest, in my opinion.
