[A Forgotten Legend]

I started this song, for an odd group of Instruments as practice with working with 12/8 time. (Piccolo, Recorder, Oboe, Bassoon, Horn in F, Baritone (B.C.), Vibes, and Soprano Sax)

And I've called it "?".  Opinions?

Jesus, how about some midi with that piccolo? @_@

The high wind is a bit too much imo, I think the dbl reed can be brought out a bit more. Also, try to add some dynamic variance. The Baritone is a little useless sounding, try to beef it up a bit. I like the random melody, though, and the end is nice but dont ditch the vibes on the end two measures. I know its midi, but it sounds weak without it. Perhaps add a fermata there to make it sound like a strong finale.

I like it, overall. Be sure to post more stuff.

Nice atmosphere, and I like the instrument-combo choice; seems very fitting for it. As Moogle mentioned, the piccolo has quite some sustained insanely high notes - which would probably be much better sounding in real performance, but it is just an ear-bleeder in midis. D: The bassoon(?) or sax(?) part at around 16-17 seconds seem to sound off with the rest of the parts, you might want to check that place. Overall, it was pretty enjoyable (minus the high midi piccolo), and I especially liked the mood.  :smile:

Haha, thanks.  I think I may change it to flute and bring it down an octave.  @Reives: Maybe the baritone part?  Anyway, I'm about to upload a new version with those... "fixes".

I hear some bad chordal progression in the tune, but the melody is nice. Try not to have so much vibrato on the plucked string, let it be more staccato. It also ends a bit abruptly.

F minor... I think. =/
A) Wrote it when I had noteworthy composer
B) Wrote it when I had no knowledge of theory. (I only knew the basics of playing my instrument. =P

I may try to use the melody and completely rewrite the rest of it.

You should. It wasnt terrible at all, and the melody was standard, it was just a few chords throwing it off. Also, be wiser on your choice of instrumentation. Good luck with it!
