Its been a while since I've had my writing critiqued, so here is something recent, its called Tera's Theme.

interesting. I'm a sucker for classy piano work, and this is no exception. the whole thing is well composed for the most part, but that darn string instrument is GRATING. i'd suggest changing it. @_@ it's preventing me from even being able to critique properly, because i had to turn it down before it poked my ears off D:

for the most part i really like it, but as cruelty said, the strings are horrendous, like really really bad sounding, its a great melody, but the string instrument is making me want to stab my ears.

also, i dunno if its just the awfulness of the string instrument itself or not, but some notes sound off, like maybe out of key or they feel like they should be a different note. what scale is this in?

not bad. But yeah I agree that stringed instrument doesn't sound great when its that exposed. I recommend using something soft like a flute.

The violin doesn't get bad till the second part, but I would recommend a lower octave or a different different instrument at the second part so it doesn't drown the beauty of the piano, which is very nice. :grin:
