Hi there!

So yeah, I've been playing around with the idea of making a power rangers game, and it gont so inside my head, that now I'm conviced I can somehow turn those sucky series on an RPG X3

But as you might guess, I can't because I am lack of resources of that kind, sure there are modern cities everywhere and I can search for them, but one thing I can't get to find is charsets...

So I gave it a shot on making my own, with no sprite knoledge and a mack's template, what do you think?

IMHO anything involving Power Rangers is complete and total failure of the highest order and generally something only a Pampers size 7 wearing, tweenage muppet fuck from the Barney Generation would even consider making in the first place...that having been said, it's a good start.  The red doesn't seem bright/shiny enough though and the white parts look more gray than white.  The red could also use some texturing as well.  Other than that I ~guess~ it's accurate...you didn't include a photo of the original model.  As surprising as it may seem to you, most people who aren't from gen Barney actually AREN'T familiar with girly, spandex wearing homos prancing around "fighting" rejects from 60s Japanese 'B' movies.

Besides I think everyone on this earth that was born before the nineties or in the nineties does know and are familiarized with the power rangers, I don't know when where you born, but my whole generation grow up with the power ranger, and thought it might look sucky right now, it rocked for us back when we were kids.

Anywyays thanx for the critic, yeah I think the helmet should shine a little more and the gray lines should be white.

The power rangers nowadays suck. The old ones are alright. But the original actors quit and they hired new ones. I think if they would have stopped making new episodes, they would have a better reputation. The sprite looks cool, and nicely done... it's just.... power rangers, :-p.

FACT:
Super Sentai's cooler than the Power Rangers. Basically, the Power Rangers was born after Super Sentai built about 5-7 Super Sentai series, and they started rippin' off Zyuranger as Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.

Why in the FUCKIN' HELLISH NAME OF "BAPHOMET" did Power Rangers come out?
Zyuranger had antagonists with references from Christianity, especially "Black Satan". In response to Zyuranger's namings, SABAN decided to make Power Rangers, in order to let children watch Super Sentai, in a milder and Western mode!

Now, each time a Super Sentai was created, a Power Ranger version would do the same, but a year or a month after the Super Sentai was released.

That's why I, as one of the "tokusatsu purists" began saying such about Power Rangers, and to Super Sentai.

And I agree on what Mad_Hatter said that Power Rangers began to suck, compared to their original Super Sentai counterparts.

Another fact, since Japan already made Go-Onger, America does their own Go-Onger, under the name: POWER RANGERS: RPM and it'll be released by 2009

BTW, the sprite's kinda cool but the helmet had a disturbing black outline, try getting the darkest red color for it. Hey, is that made on RMXP RTP template?

I'm aware of sentai and kamen rider's existence. I've watched from deka to geki, but not go-onger (hate the gattai a lot >.<) and hate the fact of pr being a copy of them


But still making the game, it's not a big project after all, I call it an experiment with blizz ABS

Yeah, I'm on for the Kamen Rider, Metal Hero and Henshin Hero series more than Super Sentai. And no, no sprites were made so far for the Kamen Riders but I'll try coming up with one sometime.

At any rate, the only thing I can see wrong is the helmet itself, particularly the top part.  It doesn't seem to be shaped right.

It's a little difficult to see, but the raised part does extend all the way down to the eye protector.  Also, when doing that part, use LESS black.  I can understand for an outline, but you went a little ridiculous there.

Also, what knock off of the RTP template are you using?  It seems... off. :x

Power Rangers ftw. I don't watch them anymore but I really enjoyed the first few seasons. The visor is a little small. That's about all I can see wrong about it.  :thumb:

As much as all of what everyone says here is true, just the fact that a full discusion has started over power rangers kinda makes me wonder about you all. I admit I used to watch them, as well as seseme street and all that, but no one runs around discussing it all. Its in the past for a reason people, because we grew up and found way better stuff to do. Thats why most of us use RMXP or RMVX right.
