My first sprite attempt

This is my first attempt at making a RMXP character from scratch. I am trying to do a CharaSet template for me to use in my game. Hopefully, if the template is good enough, I'll start adding clothes. :)

Please C&C as harsh as possible. I want to make sure I have the pixel shading and everything else correct. I tried my best to avoid 'pillow-shading,' so I hope I did it right. Thank you in advance!

Currently, I suggest making the body into a longer form, about 3-4 more pixels down, curve the legs, bring the feet outward some, and make a gap in between the legs, starting about 2 pixels from the groin. Our legs don't stand together like that naturally... think proportions.

Looks a little like a doll.

Also looks like the RTP eyes, arms, and legs, elongated.

The eyes feel like they're too far down and the torso still feels short. Also don't shade the legs so they appear like they're under a Buddha belly (the Chinese luck Buddha, not the Siddharta Gautma Buddha, which was skinny) ... After all, it's not a 'fat' template, so far as I can tell.

But if you want to make it look like a doll, lighten the palette to resemble a china doll and darken the eyes. Then it'd look a lot like a good living doll template.

Better, but now the arms look like clubs compared to the how small the legs are. I would make the legs a wee bit larger and shrink the arms a bit.

The legs need a bend of some kind, either just a small line of shading for the knee cap or an actual bend. They look like poles atm.

Save those middle of the legs. But keep them for the back pose. Cause unless it's me, which might be lord knows... it looks like the knees bend reversed like some kind of bird... that's not a bad idea though heh.

Other than that it looks really nice actually. Nice improvements and work thus far, keep it up.
