What the fuck? Yes they are!

And its not credit "could" go to SE, it does go to them. You just photoshopped some pictures. You didnt make the originals, you EDITED them, so dont act like you own it.

Thats walking a thin line of borderline plagerism my friend.

Anyways,  imo they would look better without the heavy shading. Try making it a lighter backround and it will look better imo.

Actually, they're not rips, they're artwork by the character artist for FF7 (I forgot the guy's name; the guy who's done everything for FF7 to FF11. :x)  Still saying, "HAY I MADE THESE GIMME CREDIT!!!" is pretty lame, seeing as all you did was crop and add a lame Photoshop filter.

ITT: A bad understanding of the Fair Usage Act.

Now, the reason why we can rip sprites from games whithout the FBI crashing through our windows is because of something called the Fair Usage Act, which lets up borrow media from companies, as long as there is no intention of profit.

Now, as these aren't actually from the game, and are Nomura's intellectual property; it would be pertinent to at least say who the original drawings were done by. You're not going to jail if you don't, but it requires no effort, and doesn't make you look like HURFDURFIDIDTHISALLMYSELF.

Oh and just for posterity, taking art from stuff like DA doesn't apply to the Fair Usage Act, as the artists aren't producing them under a firm. Credit is basically mandatory in that case. =D

Now, be a good little poster, and put a credit tag on that sheet, so the other big, bad, mean posters don't beat you senseless.

Hence why I longer post the rips that I make. Everyone turns into forum police. It's really annoying.

In any event, I like them. I'd do away with the ones with the names on them, and instead just script the name's positioning over them. That way, you can use any font.

Well aren't we full of ourselves? Ooh, you edited someone else's artwork slightly, added a crappy filter, and put them in faceset format. Whoopty-freakin'-do. Each of these probably only took, like, five minutes, each. And that's being generous. Gimme a few minutes, and I could produce the same exact results with Paint.NET, and I haven't even touched the damn thing in months.

This doesn't take any real effort, or talent, really. No, I'm not saying that you couldn't produce something good, if your tried, but this is just... eh. Also, lose the attitude. It's very unbecoming.

Ugh, this is why it should be possible to backhand people through the internet. You don't appear to be reading what we're teling you, MistTribe.

Your sheet is fine (albeit a little underwhelming), but as the character art wasn't made by you, to prevent yourself from looking like a gigantic douche, you should have some form of credit tag. It's not like you don't have room to spare.

enough crap. nobody would really use these anyway, since final fantasy faces are easily available (and final fantasy 7 fangames tend to suck). i would also really like to promote more original resources in this forum and not rips, so yes i'm taking this chance to further that goal as well, this kind of effortless garbage doesn't really belong here

Mist Tribe, the problem isn't that you posted these resources, but that you claimed to have made them yourself. It's not even a matter of crediting here (because it's so OBVIOUS that these are the official ff7 faces), but just the fact that you want people to credit YOU.
