A few months ago, my computer decided to randomly reboot without warning, and even though I had restart on system failure disabled...and now it did it again just like ten minutes ago.

i've had mine do that a few times, and i don't even know why it did it. happened twice and never went again.

Probably. My computer is pretty old. I'm going to shut down and let it cool for five minutes. Don't want this happening again espically since I wan to get Chao Tale's open beta out soon hopefully.

Well you could always download a program like SpeedFan and check your temperatures, see what's cooking under the hood...

mines: Windows desktop.
every now and then it freezes. When it's still booting and I click on a folder two or three times too fast, freeze.
Shit happens, especially to older computers.

A faulty power supply or power controller on the motherboard would do it. My last computer started doing that, and then after about a month and a half, maybe two months of doing it, the motherboard and power supply died. Not sure which one killed the other.
