My animated battler

This is my animated battler for one of the many games I'm working on, called The Blacksmith's Daughter (plug, plug). Critiques, please.

Oh, and I used a template for the body.

I don't think that the style matches on the spell-casting animation with the blue circle on the ground and the rest of the battler. If the light source is the top-left, then I think you should put a hair highilght there, and maybe you could use a little more contrast with your colour selection. It also looks slightly odd on the second row. Does she only get hit in the face?
P.S. Sorry if I sounded too... blunt.

Her "getting hit" frame looks unrealistic. The only attack I could imagine that reaction, is getting back handed.

More contrast btw.

Using that template is generally a bad idea. It doesn't have any proper gravity (her feet make her look like she's floating) and it uses the RTP head on a White Ties body. The forward-backward movement is also unrealistic, and the attack pose has no energy.
However I know that's on of the few templates for anim battlers out there, so...
It does need more contrast, definitely. I also agree on adding a highlight to her hair.

I agree about the poses. Any links to better templates would be great.

The costume is the same as on the character I made, and it's a dark-toned game. Colour-wise, not morbid-wise.

I forgot about the magic circle too! Lol. Must fix that.

Thanks for the critique. Lord knows I need it. (BTW, u weren't too blunt  )

Her getting hit is a "punched" one though, her death pose looked like she's just taking a nap in battle (or maybe it's just my deceived eyes).

I think the "Getting hit" looks like she is proud of getting a punch.
you need to change the poses of the hands and maybe make the had turning to the right side.
Oh and make the head go up a little.

And there is another thing that bothers me, in some of the frames the legs have a little part of
the naked legg from the template (this dark skin color) you should fix that too.

@The Orphenoch
its true it does look like she's sleeping :blank: .
