Latest version of MV supports Linux (tested on Ubuntu only thus far it seems). This is excellent news for Linux gaming; the Linux community is starved of games and game engines, so MV having Linux deployment packages and a Linux editor could result in a healthy injection of Linux games.
Supporting macOS with your MV project is always a good, strong PR move to do (and there's no reason not to), Linux is also going to stick your MV project's head above the crowd and - again - there's no reason not to do it if your game is offline.
