Mr. Mo's ABS & SBABS can be disabled?

I'm currently making a game, (doesn't have thread yet) and there are some parts that you have an ally and then some times you don't the variation is 50/50. And when your alone there are mainly two groups that try to get the protagonist, they hate each other, so the ABS would fit, but when you have the other character with you, it won't work out well, so:
Is there a code that can be entered in an event to disable each SBABS and ABS?
