Mr Mo SBABS Lite hideing HUD

Is there a way to hide the HUD using Mr Mo SBABS Lite, while the character is in certain areas? Example, in my game I have a short scene (that I made with events if that changes things) that has the PC move around and it displays some text and screen tone changes a little... I just want the HUD off for that area (and perhaps a few others...) How would somebody go about doing that?

Run the script call

$scene.hud_hide

to hide the HUD. I suggest putting it in a common event and calling it as soon as the player enters the areas you want it hidden.

ok so in the event it's just put that bit of script in?

Yes, with the Call Script command.

Ummmm problem... I did what you said I have an event that calls the common event (i named it hud hide) and when I try to have the event called it says

NameError occurred while running script.
undefined local variable or method 'scene' for #<Interpreter:0x3e63f18>

EDIT: I forgot the dollar sign, i added it and a new error message now it reads

NoMethodError occurred while running script.
undefined method 'hud_hide' for #<Scene_Title:0x163c290>

Help?

It looks like it's calling when the scene is still Scene_Title. Try adding a wait command before it.

Sweet adding the wait got it to work, awesome thanks... now to bring it back up i would just call another common event that said something like...

$scene.hud_show

Right?
