This is probably my fourth attempt or so at making a game. I never finish one because the story I made begins to bore me after awhile ^_^. Anyways I'm hoping this one will be different. I am trying my hardest to come up with an in-depth story with fleshed-out and lovable characters. Let me start by giving you some background. Than I will reveal a little about my characters.

At least thats how my story starts, and it's pretty much the intro to the game as well. I have a maximum of 4 playable characters, but each character plays a very important role in my game. There are also many important NPC's, as well as controllable minor characters throught the game. I will name the ones I have worked on now.
As you can see Raiyne is the only character have really fleshed out so far background wise. The others I havn't really attempted yet and set up some basic info.
The one thing I am really proud of though is my Title screen! Behold it in all of its glory!

If you get a chance I suggest you put them together for yourself. Its simply amazong and I never thought it would have fit together so nicely! It gives the game kind of a sad, but majestic feeling.

Long ago in the land of Agea there was a war between the two ruling kingdoms of Sanct and Jundst. The battle started over land, over which kingdom would get what piece of land.Captain Xavia was in charge of the army of the Sanct Kingdom at the time and had been holding a line of defense on the board of the Sanct province for nearly four months. General Ravida of Jundst was tiring of the wait and decided to split his forces and flank Xavia. Xavia was no fool and expected this and wiped out the attacking force cutting Jundst's army in half. The fall of Jundst was now innevidable. King Cyan of the Sanct Kingdom ordered that the Trsyt Castle of Jundst be burned to the ground, and that the royal family be slaughtered. During the slaughter the prince of Jundst was hiding away with the wizard Zoran. Later they were both able to escape and at that point Prince Raston declared his revenge on Sanct Kingdom for what they had done.
Wizard Zoran had nothing left, and so decided to help Raston in his efforts by telling him about the beast caged beneath the earth known as Domitra. The origins of Domitra are unknown and information is scarce since documents had been lost over time, and all that is known was that the beast was there and ready to destroy.Raston decided that this was the way he would get his revenge on his family and it was then that Raston vowed he would find some way to free Domitra. So Raston had spent the greater part of his life in search of answers.
The Sanct Kingdom has now control over much of the land of Agea and what is not under Sanct control has remained independent. Everyone seems to be enjoying a time of peace.
In his journy for answers Raston had eventually gathered followers and created a cult known as the Nightstalkers.This is a ruthless cult whose tentacles seem to reach everywhere including some high ranking positions within the Sanct hirearchy. Their main goal is to recruit, research, and corrupt. The problem is that Sanct Kingdom all but seems to deny the existance of this cult, or more, refuses to accept its existance.
Now our story begins with a youth named Raiyne Kalibur. He is a 19 year old average teen raised in the city of Voltare. His life consisted of nothing extremely extraordinary, except that he had been practicing with blades since a very young age. The only seriously notable event in his life is when his parents mysteriously dissapeared when he was only about 10 years old. One day while out on a few messenger jobs from his boss, the local blacksmith, he notices a girl screaming and running towards him. She crashes in to him and he picks her up and demands to know what is going on. She looks into his eyes and asks him to help her. Rayine looks back from where she was running and notices two guards hot on her tail. After looking into her eyes for a moment he quickly grabs her and runs into a nearby allyway and into the shadows. The guard soon give up their pursuit, and the girl thanks Raiyne. He says that the only way to get out of the city unnoticed would be to travel through the sewers. Raiyne voulenteers himself as her guide since he already got himself into this mess, and she is quite a stunning young woman. Raiyne takes the woman and heads for the sewers.

Raiyne Kalibur
- Rayine was born to Teanarra and Kelun Kalibur on the 5th moon of the 12th star. In his early years he spent most of his time helping his father with his job as a blacksmith. It was in working with his father were Raiyne developed a love for bladed weapons. At the age of 10 his father gave him his first blade, which was a basic knife. Raiyne started learning from the town swordsman, Rolmir, and was relatively quick in learning the skill. At the age of 12 his parents mysteriously dissapeared one night. Their dissapearence has led to many rumors, but no actual facts have ever come to light. After his parents dissapeared his brother, Rolund, took up the job of becoming man of the house. Raiyne picked up a sword for his first time and continued his lessons from Rolmir. At 18 Rolmir finally claimed him profficient with the sword and able to take on basic foes with relative ease. Raiyne continues living his life working part time for the blacksmit running eirands, while his brother works for the Sanct Kingdom.
Raiyne has felt a hole inside him ever since his parents dissapeared and he desperetly seeks to find out what had happened to them and why. He has no clues, but knows that it must not have been a simple task and simple thieves would not attempt to pull of such a feat just for two normal parents. Raiyne denies that they simply left of their own accord and quickly gets angered when anyone even suggests it. The pain of his loss still haunts him to this day, although having his brother there with hilm eases the pain greatly.

- Linye was born with the gift of life. She can heal wounds and to some extent cast life damaging spells. Linye has been working for the Royal Library in the Sanct Kingdom for quite some time now and was targeted by the Sanct Kingdom for withholding valuabe information.

- Deren had fought for the Sanct Army for quite some time fighting off independent armies as well as the Nightstalkers. After retiring he hid away in a forest sanctuary were he still attempts to keep up his skills. He longs for a good and honorable fight, and wishes to die in the field of battle rather than on a bed dreaming.
