Modern tilesets?

I'm looking to lease/have made or use with permission. I'd rather pay with a contract, and not have someone later tell me I can't use his tilesets haha.

If anyone can recommend a site with decent to good modern tilesets (where the creator is available for contact), I would appreciate that greatly. Or, if you know someone that can create modern tilesets, maybe we can work something out.

What maker do you want it for? Tilesets are a bit different depending on if it's for RMVX or RMXP. What general style? Bright and happy? Dark and barren? Realistic? Cartoony?

Mostly for XP (or which ever is easier, since I haven't mapped anything in the actual program yet). Several different styles would be needed, and if interested we can decide on a price per tileset deal and go from there. I suppose if I had to choose one or two general styles, I'd say (using the examples you listed): Dark and barren, and perhaps some more bright. Not so much happy, as the games general story is of a more "depressing" setting.

Have you looked at the Enterbrain-designed RMXP game Knight Blade-- the Howling of Keroberos? It has a bunch of dark and gritty modern tiles, and they're free for the downloading, I believe.

Wow thanks! Do you know where if it's possible to acquire the license to use these? Also, do you know of any other similar games? (Sorry for the mash of requests).

Also, I'm still interested in purchasing custom tiles ^

Well, they're from Enterbrain-- I don't know for sure, but it's quite likely that they are legal to use. (It's not like they made the game an encrypted download to protect the graphics, after all.)

Similar games? Not off the top of my head, but you could check the relevant sections of this site.

...or, y'know, even use the Resource Requests section of the Pixelart area.
