Luckily the prices aren't changing in my country, it's always been € 60,00 for me and it will remain so for another while.
I'm a bit worried that they might raise the prices in the future but at least I'm safe for now.

Hmm I don't think they'll go P2P, free online is one of the only things they've got over Microsoft to be honest, and I mean sure there's the paid subscription of Playstation+, but for that price you get so much free stuff it's unreal, and makes the purchase justified after the first few months.

I don't see why Microsoft would INCREASE the price of Live, I mean, if they want to attract more users, wouldn't it make sense to lower the price? Oh well, I guess they know that they can increase the prices as long as there's whiny 12 year old Call of Duty fans around, and I don't see that stopping anytime soon.

I was so pissed when I saw the price increase go to my email box. At first I thought it was spam, then I researched and then rage quit. It's bad enough they duke you out of your dollars when you go month to month and you have to manually opt out each time. I also maybe use xbox live maybe two days out of the month so its SO Not worth it to me. I've written off Xbox for good after this.

after reading most of the comments, the thing that strikes me as crazy are all these extra features that they've got (fagbook, twatter, last.fm, netflix), and most countries don't even get access to those, PERIOD, but still have to pay their equivalent american dollar price for the gold subscription. like, holy shit talk about getting gipped. also, what i didn't realize, is that netflix people have to pay twice, once for netflix sub then again for the 360 exclusivity thingamajig.

then there's the argument that WHO THE SHIT NEEDS THOSE THINGS ON THEIR 360 CONSOLE ANYWAY, WHEN PC GIVES THEM ALL FOR FREE??????????????? people are just so goddamn retarded. it's infuriating that everyone says microsoft are gods with their stupid assed xbox live charges, but they're just so dumb to realize that they get this shit for free on PC.

If anyone defaults on their morgage payment because of two dollars more I think they might have to rework their money. Seriously shouldn't be too overworked about this. Just don't get xbox anymore. It's not like I have to use xbox, I have a ps3, it just seems more of my friends are on the xbox and they always have better DLC on xbox than ps3.

I cheat. I buy 2-day Cards for $.25 each. Use them when I am in the mood. And, I buy in bulk... I have 1 years worth and it only cost $46. But that year can last however long they allow the cards to be used.

Actually, yes it is. I was uncomfortable with posting it, to be honest. I went through their entire archive a few years back, and a couple pages just seemed to stick for some reason. There's also one with Sony making a bid on Hell.
