I generally find Apple to be better as far as customer service and the like are concerned. Or maybe I'm just cursed to perpetually meet the nicest people.
However, being unable to open .exe files is a big tripping block. Apple has its own unique file type (disk images,) but the problem is that Windows is the operating system. The majority of things come formatted for the computer most people have. That said, Windows does crash and stall much more frequently than any Mac I've ever used, and I hear from a friend of mine that Linux (Ubuntu, specifically) trumps both. I'm not totally sure what files will run on Linux, so I'm just sort of tossing that over the fence.
I've used both the Mac and Windows, and I've come to this conclusion:
Get a new iMac and use Boot Camp.
If I wasn't so destitute, I'd consider doing that myself.
Wouldn't it be sweet if they released RMXP in a format that was compatible with ordinary Macs? Then I could just steal my dad's Macbook and use that all the time... They'd need to come out with FL Studio for Mac too, though. It'd benefit from it, for sure.
At any rate, I find it in bad taste to antagonize them for server issues that you yourselves caused with holiday traffic. They didn't take anything from you except maybe one week of a free trial you might not have used anyway, so why demand freebies?
Like, let's say an LRT tunnel is under repairs, so the trains aren't running. You don't start demanding free rides when it gets back up, especially if you and your buds caved it in to start with.
