MGS ?

Jason

Awesome Bro

Okay, Metal Gear Solid, me and my brother are trying to work something out, There was MGS1, and in it, Grey Fox had his body crushed by Metal Gear, and on 4, Raiden is a cyborg, only his head is real, so his body must've been crushed or something, does this mean Raiden is Grey Fox ?

If so, the story goes in order from past to present:
MGS3 - in 60's after coldwar.
MGS2 - Before MGS1 ?
MGS1 - After MGS2 ?
MGS4 - Later on, Snake dies, and Raiden really is Grey Fox (?)

Please clear this up for me, is Raiden Grey Fox ?

The order of the Metal Gear games are actually 3, 1, 2, 4 so I don't think that Raiden is actually Grey Fox but we don't know what happened to Raiden after MGS 2 because it's not explained for all we know Raiden went through a lot of shit during MGS 2 - 4

And on Wikipedia I found this

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

In the E3 2006 trailer for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Raiden appears wearing a Tokugawa Heavy Industries exoskeleton and fights several GEKKO Metal Gears armed only with his high-frequency blade (Possibly the same one Olga gave him in MGS2). According to lead character designer Yoji Shinkawa, Raiden is "falling apart" due to a traumatic experience that is yet unknown. He has had most of his body parts replaced by cybernetic prosthetics; the only parts of his original human body which remain are his head and spine. The lower half of his face appears to be synthetic tissue grafted onto bone. He also appears extremely pale - due, according to Hideo Kojima, to the fact he now has white artificial blood. Despite the dramatic physical changes he has undergone, he appears to have retained his memories of his previous experiences with Snake in the Big Shell incident, and tells Solid Snake in the trailer, "It's my turn to protect you."

The trailer shown at E3 2007 shows Raiden engaged in one-on-one combat with Vamp, for whom he is now more than a match (in contrast with their first encounter in Metal Gear Solid 2). Raiden's new body endows him with superhuman speed, strength, and agility, and he appears entirely unfazed by wounds or the prospect of injury: towards the end of the fight, when Vamp has him in a choke hold, he runs his katana through his own abdomen in order to kill his opponent. Vamp asks him if he is immortal, to which Raiden responds, "No. I just don't fear death." At the end of the fight, Vamp asks Raiden "Could you be the one to finally finish me?"

Raiden appears in a later trailer being held by Snake as he coughs up (white) blood, presumably following his fight with Vamp.

Wow, thats kinda wierd, Raiden has white blood now ? He stabs himself, VAMP is back !?, this next game is sounding cool.

But I guess that kinda answers what I'm after, but I wanna see what other people think.

HOLY SHIT I GOTTA DO THIS:

Vamp: Mwahaha I got you in the chokehold
Raiden: Yippie Ki A Motherfucker ! *stabs himself*

This remind me SO much of Die Hard 4.0 and anyone thats seen it will agree with me, WOO

This is the order of games by story:

Metal Gear Solid 3
Metal Gear Portable Ops
Metal Gear
Metal Gear: Solid Snake
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 4

Grey Fox is Solid Snake's partner and friend and was raised by Naked Snake/Big Boss during the 70s (his past is covered in Portable Ops).  His DNA was used, along with Big Boss', for the perfect soldier program.  Gray Fox defected to Big Boss' side in Metal Gear 2 and was killed by Solid Snake in a battle at a minefield during the Zanzibar incident (which is ironic because Gray Fox was a land mine program started by the US Military in the 60s).  During Metal Gear Solid, he came back in a cybernetic life suit (presumably created by Naomi Hunter but its origins are never revealed) to find the remains of Big Boss and challenge Snake to a final duel.  Liquid kills him permanently.

Olga wears the same suit Gray Fox did but this is because Solidus used the Big Shell as a front for the Solid Snake Simulation.  To put it simply, Raiden didn't exist before the Tanker incident.  Raiden was created from the perfect soldier DNA and sent through VR training.  The entirety of Big Shell was a simulation of Snake's escapades at Shadow Moses (notice how the events in MGS2 closely resemble MGS1).

In MGS4, it's assumed that raiden is falling apart because he's a clone.  Unlike Snake who has FOXDIE as a failsafe and ages rapidly,  Raiden was designed SPECIFICALLY to collect data so it makes sense he'd have a short lifespan.  He's wearing the robot suit Gray Fox and Olga wore and since Naomi is in this game, it's assumed that she made the suit.

Not to mention that in MGS2 snake and otacon are already associates, meaning that MGS1 (the game in which they first met) must have chronologically been the earlier game.
