message while moving

hi there, i was just wondering if there was a way to make a message appear while you are still able to walk around.

i am using Dubealex's Advanced Message System.
i have my message set up like this...

<>Message: \p[6]Hey,
:        : Someone's Comming...\|\|\~
<>

so right now it will appear over the top of event ID 6 and at the end it'll wait 2 seconds and then auto close.
but right now when the message appears i cant move around.. i want to be able to move around while the message is being shown..
i have done it a long time ago but i cant remember how to do it anymore, can someone please help me out?

Set the event to occur as a parallel process.

i did, and it just stops everything when the message pops up

Parallel processing doesn't enable the player to move while text is showing. You'll need a different script for it (unless the function's inside the AMS, but I don't think it is).
