Menu Button Trouble

I hope this is the right Section to post this. but i gotta question.

I have Rpgmaker VX.

But sometimes when i test my Game.
I press the menu Button
but the menu doesnt come up.

i'm using the VLAD ABS script
and i dont think its the trouble.

but please i need help

First check your controls. i know sometimes in xp they stop working and a simple restore default settings fixes it. you can test the script by cutting it out and then test your game a few times. otherwise... im clueless lol. i dont like vx at all so...
